On April 26th, "Flower Moon Drunken Carving Saddle - Tang Jinxiang County Master Special Exhibition" and "Light and Shadow Xinhe Star City Dream - Documentary Photographer Rossan Exhibition" opened at Changsha Museum. Yi Ying, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department of the Changsha Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Director of the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Film and Television, Gan Honggen, President of the Xi'an Museum, Liu Ze, Deputy Director of the Museum Division of the Hunan Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics, Cao Rin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Film and Television, Chen Bin, Vice President of the Hunan Museum, Li Yan, Vice President of the Xi'an Museum, the famous documentary photographer Rosdan, and colleagues from provincial and municipal cultural units attended the event.
At the opening ceremony, Gan Hong, director of Xi'an Museum, delivered a speech, saying that the special exhibition of "Flower Moon Drunken Saddle" is an in-depth interpretation and transformation of archaeological achievements, hoping to strengthen cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two places through the exhibition, provide the audience with a cultural feast with good ornamentation and interest, and convey the optimistic and heroic life attitude of Chang'an people in the Tang Dynasty.
Dong Yuancheng, deputy director of Changsha Museum, introduced that in 2018, Changsha Museum and Xi'an Museum cooperated for the first time to hold a special exhibition of "Huanfei Yan Thin - Han and Tang Dynasty Chang'an Her Life". Through the wonderful life of the county lord of Jinxiang, the exhibition reflects the grand scene of the Tang Dynasty more than 1,000 years ago, allowing us to feel the free and chic spirit of women in the Tang Dynasty, and I believe that the exhibition will become another masterpiece in the "Chinese Civilization Series Special Exhibition" of Changsha Museum.
Sponsored by the Changsha Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio, Film and Television, and undertaken by the Changsha Museum and Xi'an Museum, the special exhibition takes the life of the county lord of Jinxiang County of the Tang Dynasty as the main narrative line, exhibiting 148 sets of fine cultural relics such as goldware, pottery, and three-color ware, comprehensively presenting the free, unrestrained and enthusiastic lifestyle of the upper-class women in Chang'an in the Tang Dynasty that is different from other eras, showing the political, economic, cultural, artistic and ethnic integration of the Tang Dynasty and the cultural exchanges between China and the West brought about by the Silk Road, and reproducing the "prosperous era of the Tang Dynasty".
In August 1991, the main tomb of Jinxiang County was accidentally discovered in Baqiao District, Xi'an. 181 sets of representative cultural relics of the Tang Dynasty were unearthed in the tomb, which vividly reproduce the life scenes of the nobles of the Tang Dynasty, especially the profound impact of the Western Regions civilization on the social life of the Tang Dynasty, which has attracted the attention of the world archaeological community.
The county lord of Jinxiang is the granddaughter of Li Yuan, the founding emperor of the Tang Dynasty, and the third daughter of Li Yuanying, the king of Teng, with a prominent status. She was born in the second year of Yonghui of Gaozong of Tang Dynasty (651) and died in the tenth year of Xuanzong Kaiyuan (722), and her life went through several dynasties of Gaozong, Zhongzong, Ruizong, Wuzhou and Xuanzong. The era in which she lived was a period of vigor and prosperity in the Tang Dynasty, and she witnessed the glorious history of the Tang Dynasty from expanding its territory to its heyday. During this period, the smooth passage of the Silk Road made a steady stream of exotic civilizations poured into the capital Chang'an, and all kinds of new and dazzling material and spiritual fashions quietly infiltrated the daily life of the county lord of Jinxiang, and left a strong mark in it.
The exhibition is divided into three units: "The Lord of Tang County", "Born in a Prosperous Age" and "Colorful Life". The first unit focuses on revealing the identity and status, family background, marital status and other information of the county lord of Jinxiang, combined with the exquisite accessories unearthed in the tomb, to stimulate the audience to have a beautiful imagination of the county lord's abundance; The third unit shows its heroic and unrestrained character traits and reproduces its colorful, graceful and luxurious life, so that the image of the county lord of Jinxiang County is "dignified and beautiful, strong and graceful" again after a thousand years.
Li Yan, vice president and curator of the Xi'an Museum, introduced that the Tang Dynasty was a glorious era, and for more than 1,000 years, it has always exuded eternal charm with its openness, inclusiveness and amazing pioneering creation, and has become a highland for future generations to look up to the history of Chinese civilization. The Chinese sons and daughters' intimacy with the graceful and confident Tang Dynasty transcending time and space has been inherited for thousands of years and has never changed. "Flower Moon Drunken Carving Saddle - Datang Jinxiang County Main Special Exhibition" is planned based on such psychological structure and emotional genes, hoping to release the eternal emotional code of openness, inclusiveness, national prosperity and strong people through the exhibition, and strengthen the cultural self-confidence of the Chinese people.

On the same day, the "Dream of Light and Shadow Xinhe Star City - Exhibition of Works by Documentary Photographer Rosdan" also opened at the Changsha Museum. This exhibition displays 92 photographs of Mr. Rostan's Delta, as well as photographic equipment, award certificates, and the published "100 Years of Old Photos of Changsha" book series, focusing on the history of geographical and cultural changes in the Beichen Delta (formerly known as Xinhe Delta) region with photography as the language. In addition, this year, Mr. Rothdan decided to donate his photographs on the theme of the New River Delta, some of his photographic equipment, and a collection that reflects the changes of the city to the Changsha Museum.
