The Chizhou-Huangshan high-speed railway (hereinafter referred to as the Chizhou-Huangshan high-speed railway) will be completed and opened to traffic on April 26, when it will be more convenient for Chizhou passengers to take the high-speed rail to Jiuhua Mountain and Huangshan Scenic Area.
The Chihuang high-speed railway is located in the mountainous area of southern Anhui, starting from Chizhou Station, passing through Guichi District, Qingyang County, Chizhou City, Anhui Province, Huangshan District, Yixian County, Huangshan City, and connecting to Yixian East Railway Station, with a total length of 125 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. There are 4 stations on the whole line: Chizhou, Jiuhuashan, Huangshanxi, and Yixian East, of which Jiuhuashan and Huangshan West are newly built stations, Chizhou Station is a reconstruction and expansion station, and Yixian East Station is an existing station.
Along the Chihuang high-speed railway, the mountains are high and the valleys are deep, the ravines are vertical and horizontal, the terrain and landform are complex, and the construction is difficult. Since the start of construction in December 2019, China Railway Group has organized all participating units to put the concept of ecological priority, conservation and intensive, green and low-carbon development throughout the whole process of railway planning, design and construction, increased scientific research efforts, strengthened safety, quality and investment control, and promoted project construction with high quality and efficiency, and built 55 bridges such as the Taiping Lake Bridge and 34 tunnels such as the Lingshang Village Tunnel.
Before the project was put into operation, China Railway Group carefully organized relevant units, strictly enforced various regulations and standards, carried out joint commissioning and joint testing, inspection and acceptance and safety assessment of various professional equipment of the Chihuang High-speed Railway, and comprehensively optimized and adjusted the track status, pantograph performance, train control, communication signal system, etc. At present, the line meets the requirements for safe and stable operation of high-speed railways, and has the conditions for opening and operation.
The Chihuang high-speed railway operates at a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour. At the beginning of operation, the railway department arranged to run up to 24 locomotive trains per day. Among them, the fastest between Jiuhuashan Station and Chizhou and Hefei South Railway Station is 14 minutes and 1 hour and 37 minutes respectively, and the fastest between Huangshan West Station and Chizhou and Hefei South Railway Station is 30 minutes and 1 hour and 53 minutes respectively. In the future, according to market demand and changes in passenger flow, the train operation plan will be flexibly and dynamically adjusted to better meet the travel needs of the people along the line.
In order to improve the quality of operation and meet the different travel needs of passengers, the railway department has implemented a flexible discount and differentiated market-based fare mechanism between the stations of the project to provide passengers with more choices for travel, and the specific fares can be queried through the railway 12306.
The Chihuang high-speed railway is connected with the Nanjing-Anqing high-speed railway at Chizhou Station, and the Hangzhou-Nanchang high-speed railway is connected at Yixian East Railway Station, connecting a number of national famous tourist attractions such as Jiuhua Mountain and Huangshan Scenic Area, which will further improve the regional road network structure, facilitate the travel of the people along the line, promote the development of tourism resources and industrial development, and is of great significance to help the construction of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
