On April 23rd, World Book Day, Children's Hope and CITIC Prudential jointly held a reading club with the theme of "Picking Up the Temperature of Reading - Salute to World Book Day". This gathering allowed everyone to "taste poetry and books, and have heroic feelings", walk into the palace of knowledge together, share and advocate the concept of reading, and inject more colors into the medical life of children with love because of reading, and feel warmth in reading.
In the afternoon, the event site was crowded, book friends came one after another, and the staff was busy and orderly to prepare. With the sound of deep but powerful background music, a team composed of children and volunteers from the medical assistant family slowly entered, and they affectionately read Tagore's famous poem "Influencing Life with Life", hoping that everyone can live a beam of light to illuminate themselves and others.
Meet friends with books, and love with lawsuits. After the opening ceremony of the event, Ms. Guo Qi of CITIC Prudential gave a wonderful introduction and strong support and encouragement to the reading club, which was deeply admired, which fully reflected the true portrayal of CITIC Prudential's practice of social responsibility with love and care.
Afterwards, book lovers took the stage to share their recent readings. The painter Xiao Xiao affectionately recounted his touching experience of learning art, chasing his dreams, and being grateful to his teacher, a mother enthusiastically recommended interesting picture books for children to learn literacy, and the book friends also enthusiastically shared many excellent works: such as the deep affection of "for you, thousands of times" in "The Kite Runner", the pursuit of "the ground is full of sixpence, but he looked up and saw the moon" in "The Moon and Sixpence", as well as the wisdom of "Mao Zedong's Selected Works", the warm power of "I Am Worth Beautiful", and "White Night Walking" and so on.
Each book contains the precious value of reading, shining in our hearts and skies like bright stars, inspiring our passions and dreams, and letting us move forward together in this ocean of knowledge. Those exquisite words and sentences were like a trickle, nourishing the hearts of every audience present.
Parents and children of the medical assistant family also shared their feelings about life, in the difficult process of seeing a doctor, they were at a loss, desperate, confused, but after coming to the medical assistant home, they felt that there are so many people in a variety of ways to love and care for them, there are often angel-like volunteers to send rice, noodles, oil, toys, and volunteers to teach children to paint, sing, take children into nature, etc., all let them experience the truth of love, really touching and grateful. They have walked out of the darkness and confusion, believing that there is true love in the world! They are no longer lonely and melancholy, but more powerful in moving forward! Just like the sharing of the patient: "Grateful for life, grateful to everyone in life, grateful to the little medical assistant family for giving him a 'home' in this strange city!"
A lighthouse-like teacher who has been with children in need for more than a decade, she shared a poem by the French poet Albert: "Please don't go ahead of me, because I may not be able to keep up, and don't walk behind me, because I may not lead the way, please walk by my side and be my friend!" In order to pay tribute to everyone at the scene, she said affectionately: At this moment, we are by each other's side because of our love for reading, but we are also in reading to receive the love of a better world and willing to put it into action, and we have come together today. Talking about the teacher's sharing, people can't help but think deeply: we come together because of our common hobbies, and because of great love, everyone is closely connected.
At the event site, the fragrance of books was permeated and the atmosphere was warm. In the sharing of Ms. Song Jianfang, the founder of CITIC Prudential Panshi Wealth Entrepreneur Office, we understand that insurance is the guardian of the smell of fireworks in the world, guarding every warm family and guarding the beautiful vision that we have worked hard to work hard and looked forward to. While sharing their reading insights, they are also conveying the warmth and love of public welfare. At the same time, Ms. Zhang Haojie, General Manager of CITIC Prudential, gave exquisite gifts to the children of the medical family, expressing her love and support for them.
At the end of the event, everyone wrote down their experiences and favorite words on the bookmarks, and pasted the bookmarks on the love tree. Each bookmark carries endless wisdom and inspiration, and they shine brightly on the tree, like the brightest star in the night sky. After the good time of picking up the fruits of wisdom and sticking them to the big tree, this reading club is also like a gorgeous music, and the curtain is perfect at this moment. The famous sentences in the book pasted on the big tree are like the crystallization of wisdom, shining brightly. Let us continue to swim in the ocean of knowledge and absorb the nutrients of wisdom.
