First of all, we need to understand Qi Baishi's artistic process and his artistic philosophy. Born into a peasant family, his early experience as a carpenter had a profound impact on his unique vision of styling. His artistic path was not all smooth sailing, but he always insisted on self-innovation, formed the "red flower ink leaf" freehand painting style, and advocated the artistic expression of depicting the gods in form and focusing on conveying the gods.

As my master, Qi Liangzhi, a descendant of Qi Baishi and the director of Qi Baishi Painting and Calligraphy Academy, taught, "A true work of art often lies in the subtleties that show the spirit." Qi Baishi's treatment of the eagle's eyes is made with scorched ink to make the eyes bright, and the feathers are rendered in rich layers of ink to give them a fluffy texture. These meticulous techniques are important markers of authenticity.
