The following conditions may be precursors to a heart attack

Recurrent angina pectoris occurs - chest pain is often felt, but the duration is relatively short, usually relieved in 3~5 minutes.

In addition, an acute myocardial infarction may be preceded by certain atypical symptoms:

  • Chest tightness, feeling like a stone pressed, always trying to get out of breath;
  • Stomach discomfort persists, worsens, and becomes more and more extensive, which is different from the previous stomach pain;
  • Particularly tired;
  • Other rare manifestations include toothache that is not caused by tooth decay, atypical abdominal pain with sweating, sudden onset of arm numbness, etc.

If you have frequent occurrences of these conditions, you should see a cardiologist as soon as possible and, if necessary, a CT scan of the coronary arteries or a coronary angiogram to see if the blood vessels are narrowed.

People who smoke, are obese, have diabetes, have high blood pressure, and have high blood lipids are particularly likely to be approached by heart attacks, so they need to pay special attention.

There are also various external causes of myocardial infarction, such as mood swings, excessive stress, staying up late, being in a state of high stress for a long time, and temperature fluctuations (high incidence in winter).

Acute myocardial infarction may occur in the following cases:

(1) Severe and persistent pain in the anterior chest area, which may also be accompanied by pain and discomfort in the arm, left shoulder, back, neck, jaw or stomach.

(2) Dizziness or syncope, sudden sweating, nausea, shortness of breath, palpitations (feeling of heaviness in the heart), and a feeling of suffocation.

At this time, you should call 120 immediately, stop all activities, keep your breathing smooth, take oxygen if possible, and try to keep your mood calm.

Don't go to the hospital alone, and even if you can't judge the situation, don't hesitate to call an ambulance.

For acute myocardial infarction, time is of the essence!
