On April 26, BMW launched the new BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible Coupe in China. For the first time, the BMW 4 Series features the same laser taillights, two new paints in York Cape Green and Flame Red, as well as M carbon fiber interior trim strips, and all models are equipped with Sensatec synthetic leather front sports seats and a flat-bottom M multi-function leather steering wheel to further enhance the luxury sports experience.
The aesthetic appearance of the coupe is only born for driving fun
The new car adheres to the unique exterior design elements of the BMW 4 Series family, with a longitudinal star-curtain grille that pays homage to the classic BMW 3.0 CSI/BMW 328 and creates a unique and iconic visual appearance The 4 Series, in the same design as the new BMW M4, features a layered light cluster that creates a colourful lighting effect at the rear, inspired by the BMW M4 CSL Performance Special Edition, which was limited to 1,000 units.
The sporty look is further enhanced by a black high-gloss diffuser from the M Sport Package and M Aerodynamics, as well as an exhaust tailpipe with a diameter of 100 mm, while the new York Point Green and Flame Red paints are available for the first time on the BMW 4 Series, as well as a choice of personalised Special Painted Matte Dark Grey and Personalised Coloured Tanzanite Blue and Tourmaline Grey. The new car also introduces three new 19-inch wheels to meet the needs of customers to personalize their choices and highlight the strong sporty DNA of the coupe.
The cockpit layout is designed for driving needs only
The cockpit of the new BMW 4 Series Coupe and Convertible Coupe adopts a new driver-centric design, and the delicate M carbon fiber interior trim is used for the first time in the BMW 4 Series model, creating a refreshing luxury and sporty atmosphere. The front sports seats are standard in Sensatec synthetic leather with fine stitching and perforation, and customers can also choose to add Vernasca leather seats with black and red panels. The new BMW 4 Series Coupé offers M Performtex knitted/suede seats, the first of its kind in a BMW model, with a subtle and dynamic M stitching that combines aesthetics, texture, lightweighting and sustainable production methods. The M Sport multi-function leather steering wheel with paddle shifters and a new flat-bottom design are standard on all models to enhance the driving experience and further enhance the sporty atmosphere. Newly designed air-conditioning vents with contoured lighting and new crystal-textured interior components create a refreshing and luxurious atmosphere.

BMW's finely tuned chassis gives the car a smooth coupe-like handling experience. The innovative Hydraulic Rebound Shock Absorption (HRS) and Hydraulic Compression Shock Absorption (HCS) technology work on the front and rear axles, striking the right balance between sporty performance and long-distance comfort. The variable sports steering system flexibly responds to the steering needs at different speeds with variable steering ratios, enabling more direct, agile and flexible steering operations. The perfect load distribution of 50:50 front and rear and the optimized aerodynamic design further improve the handling performance. In addition, customers can choose from high-performance exclusive accessories such as M sports suspension and blue M performance calipers to create a more personalized driving experience.
The new BMW 4 Series Convertible Coupe asserts itself as a unique style and highlights the unique driving pleasure of a convertible. Its soft top with curved top arch combines the stability of a retractable hard top with the classic aesthetic of a fabric cabriol, which can be opened/closed in just 18 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h.
