Blizzard officially announced that there will be no BlizzCon in 2024. The company issued a statement on its website, making it clear that although it will participate in other conferences and live events, it will not have its own in-person events this year. The statement mentioned that the decision was deliberate, and the company promised to re-host BlizzCon in the future, given the importance of BlizzCon to fans.
In addition, Blizzard also revealed that it will participate in other industry shows, such as Cologne, and plans to hold live events in multiple locations around the world to celebrate the 30th anniversary of World of Warcraft, as well as Overwatch championship tournaments in Dallas and Stockholm.
