When we finally got the keys to our new home, our hearts were filled with excitement and anticipation. However, the renovation decisions that come with it are often a sweet annoyance. In the face of many choices, I adhered to a few principles, and now it seems that these decisions have left me with no regrets, and even joy.
First of all, I chose a concise and clear style for the hard cover. There are no complicated background walls, no deliberate door openings, and no half-wall partitions. In this way, the whole space appears spacious and bright, and the visual sense of space is doubled. The white walls are like canvases, simple yet stylish, leaving infinite room for any possible changes in the future.
In terms of soft furnishings, I follow the principle of "less is more". Instead of buying too many decorations, the colors of furniture, curtains and bedding are unified. This simple and uniform color scheme not only makes the room look more crisp and tidy, but also greatly reduces the burden of cleaning and maintenance.
Most importantly, for families with young children, ample storage space is essential. My first house was inconvenient for me because of the lack of lockers. So, in my new home, I designed a wardrobe from the floor to the top in each room, making the most of the vertical space. Not only that, but I also cleverly used the corner of the balcony to create a small, fully functional storage room. Whether it's a suitcase, ladder or electric fan and other bulky household items, they can be easily stored to keep your home tidy and organized.
Through these deliberate decisions, I have created a home environment that is both beautiful and functional. Every time I immerse myself in this space, which I have carefully arranged by myself, I feel a sense of accomplishment and comfort.
