Hong Wenquan, head of the Matsu Coast Guard, said that after receiving the report, he immediately sent a boat to deal with it.
According to Taiwan media reports, some witnesses said that they have seen Chinese mainland fishing boats approaching Gordon Island and reef many times, which is not uncommon, "this time it is daytime, and the next time it may be night." The Taiwan Army's Matsu Defense Command said that a fisherman whose identity was to be investigated was found on an uninhabited offshore reef near Gordon Island, and was subsequently dealt with by the "Coast Guard", but the person whose identity was to be investigated did not land on Gordon's main island.
About a month after the outbreak of the "2.14 Kinmen fishing boat collision" case, fishermen on the island found a five-star red flag on the top of the Matsu Nanyin Island and Reef. However, due to the mainland's strong deterrent force, both the Taiwan military and the "Coast Guard" at that time "kicked the ball" on this matter and did not dare to take concrete action. In this regard, some Taiwan media ridiculed that the mainland can extend this model to all outer islands and the island of Taiwan itself.
Lai Qingde has not yet officially come to power, and the radical forces of the DPP cannot wait. Otherwise, Lai Qingde would not have been asked to go directly to the front line of Kinmen Matsu to boost morale. On 25 July, Lai Ching-te shouted for the first time "cross-strait dialogue between the ruling parties" and tried to replace "cross-strait dialogue" with "dialogue between the Democratic Party and the Communist Party." His intentions were extremely sinister. In this regard, Taiwan media issued an article warning that if Lai Qingde does not even agree with "members of the Chinese nation" and "Chinese" and "descendants of Yan and Huang", then the proposal of "dialogue between the Chinese Communist Party" is only feared to be a boundless wishful thinking.
When Ma Ying-jeou visited the mainland, the mainland side proposed that there should be a minimum threshold for cross-strait dialogue, that is, the national identity that "both sides of the strait belong to the same Chinese nation" and agreed that "Taiwan compatriots are also descendants of Yan and Huang and are all Chinese." With such an agreement, there is "no knot between the two sides of the strait that cannot be resolved, no issue that cannot be discussed, and no force that can separate us." ”
However, the DPP obviously does not think so. Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council directly and openly slapped the mainland in the face, clamoring that the "descendants of Yan and Huang" are just ancient Chinese legends and do not need to be put on everyone's head; and that the "Chinese nation" is an "unnecessary trap" that insists on pulling together several "irrelevant things" of the nation, the state, and culture.
If even the culture and national identity of "both sides of the strait belong to the same Chinese nation" are discarded by Lai Ching-de, then what is the basis for dialogue between the ruling parties on both sides of the strait? Under the continued rule of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and the leadership of the DPP under Lai Ching-de, cross-strait relations will have to slide all the way to a deep valley, and the situation in the Taiwan Strait will not be the worst, only worse, until a spark is ignited in an instant.
In this regard, on April 25, the Ministry of Defense of the mainland made a rare remark at a press conference. Senior Colonel Wu Qian, spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense, said that the DPP authorities' vain attempt to "seek independence by force" will only aggravate the tense situation in the Taiwan Strait and harm the security and well-being of the Taiwan people. "Han Guangbing's push" pushes back and forth, and the "use of force to seek independence" is doomed to failure. "Taiwan independence" and peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait are incompatible, and the United States' connivance and support for "Taiwan independence" will inevitably lead to burn itself and reap the bitter consequences.
