From April 20th to 21st, the 2024 Shenzhen-Hong Kong Guangzhou Badminton Traditional School Invitational Tournament closed at Shenzhen Nanshan Foreign Chinese School (Group) Dachong School. In the competition, Shenzhen Nanshan Foreign Chinese School (Group), Shenzhen Luohu District Campus Badminton Team, Shenzhen Middle School Longgang School (Group) Lanzhu School, Shenzhen Baoan District Hongya Primary School, Hong Kong Qiyi Gallery Badminton Club, Hong Kong Star Badminton Club, Guangzhou Huangpu District Yiyuan Primary School, Guangzhou Panyu District Shiqiao Dexing Primary School 8 teams were invited to compete, and more than 100 outstanding student athletes competed on the same field. The junior team members not only showed superb individual skills, but also demonstrated the team's excellent team spirit and tenacious competitive style.
The reporter learned from the scene that the first stage of the event is the (youth) mixed team round-robin competition, and the second stage is the (youth) mixed team knockout roundout. After fierce competition, the host Nanshan Foreign Chinese School (Group) won the team championship, and the Hong Kong Star Badminton Club and Shenzhen Luohu District Campus Badminton Team won the team runner-up and team third place respectively.
Badminton World Champion, President of the Municipal Badminton Association, and Teacher of Shenzhen University of Technology, Wang Jiaming, Badminton National Athlete, Director of the Coaching Committee of the Municipal Badminton Association, and Teacher of Southern University of Science and Technology, Zeng Yumin, and student representatives from Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Guangzhou, brought a wonderful and fierce "Champion Exhibition Match" to teachers and students at the closing ceremony, and performed the speed and passion of badminton on the spot.

Since 1993, Huang Huiyu and Xiong Yanjuan established the Dachong Primary School badminton team, the badminton team of Nanwai Dachong School has been inherited and developed for decades, and with the continuous efforts of several generations of coaches, the school has established a complete system and scientific methods, cultivated world champions and Chinese champions such as Bao Chunlai and Zheng Yu, and cultivated and transported a number of active national players such as Zheng Yu, Pan Haoyu, Xu Siyi, Li Zeyu, and Xie Zhenyan. So far, the school has trained and sent as many as 22 athletes to the national team, national youth team and national junior team.
