Experts said that monitoring data showed that from yesterday (25th) to this morning (26th), heavy rainfall and strong convection occurred again in South China and other places. Statistics show that since April, meteorological observation stations such as Longmen and Fogang in Guangdong, where the rainfall has broken records, have encountered heavy rainstorms and continue to set new records. During this period, there were 11 (32.1 m/s) thunderstorms and gales in Mengshan, Guangxi, and 12 (33.5 m/s) thunderstorms and gales in Liuzhou, both breaking gust records. Among the regional automatic meteorological observation stations, the Shishan Canopy Experimental Station in Foshan, Guangdong Province, experienced a thunderstorm with strong winds of level 12 (36.6 m/s) this morning.
