Proverbs and Tibetan poems: Leniency is for the sea to embrace all rivers

Author: Professor Chen Zhengui

〈Wide〉 fierce and Zhuge Liang,

"Big" famous Liu Guanzhang.

(For) the treacherous and cunning Cao Mengde,

〈Huai〉 narrow and small is Zhou Lang.

Sima clan in the sea,

〈Na〉 Shi recruits the virtuous Sun Quanhuang.

(100) Save Adou in the army,

The heroes of Shu are famous.

Note: "Broadness is embrace, the sea is inclusive" is a proverb that means: one should have a broad mind and be able to accommodate all kinds of things like the sea.

"Leniency" means that a person has a broad mind and is able to treat others with tolerance, regardless of the smallest details. This mentality stems from inner bravery and kindness, and is an understanding of the faults of others, which helps to resolve contradictions and conflicts. Successful people often win good interpersonal relationships because of this kind of broad-mindedness, and then succeed.

"Inclusive" refers to the fact that the sea can hold the water of hundreds or thousands of rivers, and is a metaphor for a person or leader who should have a broad mind and be able to accept different perspectives, cultures, and customs. This quote emphasizes the importance of inclusion and encourages us to be open and tolerant in our thoughts and actions to build good relationships.
