Fire safety tips for the May Day holiday
With the advent of Labor Day, during the holidays, citizens will increase their activities such as travel, consumption and entertainment, various cultural tourism and commercial promotions, and the risk of fire in densely populated places such as hotels, restaurants, shopping malls and scenic spots will increase. The Office of the Municipal Fire Safety Committee reminds all social units and the general public to pay attention to the following fire safety matters:
1. Organs, groups, enterprises and institutions at all levels should strictly implement the main responsibility of fire safety, carry out a pre-holiday fire safety inspection, fire risk and hidden danger investigation, fire protection facilities and equipment inspection and maintenance and personnel fire safety publicity and education, implement various fire prevention measures, do a good job of personnel on duty during the festival, strengthen the inspection and inspection of key parts, ensure that fire protection facilities and equipment are intact and effective, and timely discover and eliminate fire hazards.
2. Governments at all levels and functional departments should organize and do a good job in the fire safety management of the region and the industry system according to the characteristics of holiday fire safety, supervise and guide all units at all levels to implement holiday fire prevention and control measures, strengthen risk prevention in key industries, increase holiday fire safety publicity, and ensure the stability of the holiday fire safety situation.
3. Hotels, restaurants, shopping malls, tourist attractions, and other crowded places and public gathering places should strictly strengthen fire safety management, standardize the safe use and management of fire sources, power supplies, and gas; strictly prohibit illegal fire and welding operations, and strictly prohibit the storage and use of flammable and explosive dangerous goods in violation of regulations; keep the safety exits, evacuation channels, and fire truck passages of the places unblocked; ensure that the automatic fire-fighting facilities are intact and effective and in an automatic state; and the personnel of the fire control room and miniature fire stations should be on duty to correctly deal with all kinds of emergencies.
Fourth, all production and business sites, especially crowded places and public entertainment venues, should improve the fire emergency evacuation plan and conduct drills, clearly implement the fire protection responsibilities of personnel in each position, carry out fire safety training and emergency drills for all employees, and ensure that everyone understands the fire safety responsibilities of the post, will call the police, will guide personnel to evacuate, and will fight the initial fire, so as to effectively improve the "four capabilities" of fire safety in the unit premises.
Fifth, the street community and property service enterprises should do a good job in the fire safety management of residential communities, to ensure that the fire protection facilities and equipment in the community are intact and effective, and the fire passage is kept unblocked; through a variety of ways to increase the publicity of fire safety during the holiday, remind and guide the majority of residents to pay attention to the safety of fire, electricity and gas, do not pile up sundries in corridors and stairwells, do not park electric vehicles or charge them in violation of regulations, and implement the measures of "three clearances and three passes" (clear kitchen, clear balcony, clear corridor, turn off fire sources, turn off power supply, and turn off gas valves).
6. When driving or taking public transportation, citizens are strictly forbidden to carry flammable and explosive dangerous goods, and do not smoke or use open flames in the car. Private cars should be equipped with on-board fire extinguishers, emergency safety hammers, etc., in case of emergency, you can use emergency safety hammers or hard objects to break the window glass to quickly self-rescue and escape.
7. Citizens should pay attention to familiarity with the safety exits, evacuation passages and escape routes of their places, and pay attention to the location and use of fire extinguishers, smoke masks and other equipment when going out. In case of fire, stay calm, under the guidance of on-site service personnel, escape quickly and orderly along the evacuation signs, do not take the elevator, do not covet property, do not return to the fire scene, and do not blindly jump off the building.
8. When citizens go to tourist attractions, scenic spots or cultural relics protection units, etc., they should abide by the fire safety management regulations and fire prevention requirements of their units, and do not carry dangerous goods, smoke or litter cigarette butts. When entering the mountain and forest scenic spots, do not carry fire, do not play with fire, do not make fires for picnics, and strictly prevent forest fire accidents.
9. In case of electrical fire, the power supply should be disconnected first, and then the fire should be extinguished to prevent personnel from being electrocuted. In case of a kitchen oil pan fire, it is strictly forbidden to extinguish it with water, and you can take measures such as covering the pot, putting vegetables, covering it with a fire blanket and using a dry powder fire extinguisher. In case of gas leakage, prohibit the open flame at the scene, close the gas valve in time, open the window for ventilation, and call the police for help in a safe place.
10. In case of fire, to determine the size of the fire and the trend of spreading, you can cover your mouth and nose with soaked towels and clothes, choose the nearest safety exit and bend down, and escape quickly and orderly; call the 119 fire alarm telephone as soon as possible, accurately explain the address of the fire site, the situation of the burning items, whether there are people trapped and other information, and keep the alarm phone unblocked; you can arrange personnel to pick up fire vehicles at major intersections.
