Before Professor Ye Zhibiao's investigation in the tomato base, Ye Zhibiao led the team to identify 3,950 tomato germplasms and more than 10,000 innovative germplasms, including 68 excellent germplasms, developed 15 tomato quality markers, established a complete molecular marker and genome-assisted tomato quality breeding technology system, and popularized and applied it in tomato breeding units, significantly improving the efficiency of tomato quality breeding. The "twin sisters" of "Beiweimei" also include 11 new high-quality tomato varieties with high quality and adaptability, such as "Ginobili", a large-fruit-shaped tomato with suitable sugar and acidity, strong adaptability and high quality rate, "Huaying 1801" with high resistance to Ty, and "Zhuocai No. 2" with high Vc, good coloring and good taste.
