From January to March 2024, China's chip production will be as high as 98.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 40%, setting a new record again, which shows how fierce China's chips are.
So the question is, which province is the strongest province in China to make chips? How many chips can be produced every year? Let's take the data in 2023 and show you the situation, and everyone will understand.
As shown in the figure above, the strongest province is naturally Jiangsu, which has ranked first in the country in chip production for many years, and in 2023, the number of chips produced in Jiangsu province will reach 105.5 billion, accounting for about 30% of the country's total output.
The other three provinces, namely Jiangsu, Guangdong, and Gansu, produce about 67% of the world's total chip production, or two-thirds.
In fact, China's chip industry is mainly concentrated in four industrial clusters, one is the Yangtze River Delta with Shanghai as the center, the Pan-Pearl River Delta with Shenzhen as the center, the Yangtze River Delta with Shanghai as the center, and the Bohai Rim with Beijing as the center.
Among these four industrial zones, the Yangtze River Delta has the best performance, and its integrated circuit industry accounts for half of the country. But in the Yangtze River Delta, Jiangsu is the most.

Like TSMC, SK hynix, Huahong, Zhonghuan, Shennan Circuit, CRRC, Qualcomm, Infineon, Changdian Technology, China Resources Micro, Zhongkexin, Zhuosheng Micro, Shenghe Jingwei, New Clean Energy, Pilot Intelligence, etc., all have chip manufacturing factories in Jiangsu, data shows that there are currently thousands of chip-related enterprises in Jiangsu Province.
Especially in the packaging and testing, Jiangsu Province is very powerful, the packaging and testing manufacturers of the world's third Changdian Technology, the world's eighth Tongfu Microelectronics are all in Jiangsu.
It can be seen that it is these domestic and foreign chip companies that work together to finally make the chip output of Jiangsu Province account for 30% of the national output.
