April 2024 is the 36th National Patriotic Health Month. In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the important instructions on the patriotic health campaign, build a solid line of defense for the people's health, and further strengthen the normalization and consolidation of the work of national health villages, Santang Village, Hai'an, Jiangsu Province, actively responded and launched a spring patriotic health campaign with the theme of "Healthy Towns and Healthy Weight".
1. Convene a meeting on the deployment of the work of the Patriotic Health Month
On April 1, Santang Village held the 36th Patriotic Health Month Work Deployment Meeting. The meeting stressed: First, it is necessary to enhance ideological understanding and strengthen the sense of responsibility. Second, it is necessary to immediately carry out rectification actions and carry out all work in a down-to-earth manner. Third, it is necessary to strengthen publicity and guidance, vigorously publicize and popularize health knowledge and activity-related information through various forms such as electronic display screens, propaganda columns, and WeChat groups, and guide the whole village to form a good atmosphere for actively participating in the patriotic health campaign.
2. Carry out environmental remediation and continuously improve the quality of the living environment.
In order to create a clean, tidy, comfortable and livable living environment for residents, village cadres and party members of Santang Village took the lead in organizing volunteers and the masses to clean up the living environment. We have a clear division of labor, perform their own duties, pull the net to clear and remediate the main roads, front and back of houses, rivers and ditches, green belts and other key areas in the village stock of garbage and sanitation dead ends, adhere to the "point" and "surface", to ensure that the remediation of one place, drive a piece, and continuously improve the effectiveness of environmental sanitation remediation.
3. Strengthen the prevention and control of vector organisms and build a solid line of defense for the health of the masses.
Spring is a critical period for the prevention and control of vector organisms, in order to effectively prevent and control the spread of diseases and ensure the health of residents, Santang Village organized and carried out vector biological control work. During the activity, village cadres and grid members publicized the importance of sanitizing work to residents, explained in detail the prevention measures of cockroaches, rats and other vector pests, guided residents to develop good habits of garbage classification, and actively mobilized the broad masses of residents to participate in the patriotic health campaign. We actively remove the breeding sites of the "four pests", clean up all kinds of water containers and potholes in a timely manner, and leave no sanitary dead ends. At the same time, the bushes, garbage cans and sewers are sanitized, the poison bait station is comprehensively investigated, and the rodenticide is replenished in time to ensure that the poison bait station can play a role, block the transmission of vector diseases, and protect the health of residents.
4. Carry out health education activities to popularize healthy lifestyles.
In order to improve the health awareness of residents that "everyone is the first person responsible for their own health" and prevent and control chronic diseases, the Santang Village United Village Clinic carried out health lectures with the theme of "healthy weight management", distributed health promotion brochures, and measured weight, blood pressure and blood sugar for residents on the spot, advocated the masses to develop reasonable diet, nutritional matching, scientific exercise, psychological adjustment and other popular science knowledge, and reminded residents to do a good job of personal hygiene, wash hands frequently, and do not smoke and drink. Do not use chopsticks and spoons, do not process or use poultry meat that has not passed the health quarantine, do not eat wild animals, etc., and develop good healthy living habits and a healthy and civilized lifestyle.
