The latest progress of the western extension:
On April 22, the Shenglizhuang Tunnel of the West Extension High-speed Railway, which was constructed by Shaanxi Co., Ltd., was successfully completed, marking the significant progress made in the construction of another long tunnel on the whole line of the West Extension High-speed Railway, and laying a solid foundation for the orderly development of the follow-up project.

West 10 high-speed rail
The main line of the West 10 high-speed railway is 255.7 kilometers long and has a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, passing through the three cities of Xi'an, Shangluo and Shiyan, and connecting to the completed Han 10 high-speed railway.
Among them, the Shaanxi section has a total length of 169 kilometers, and there are 5 stations along the way: Xi'an East, Lantian, Shangluoxi, Shanyang and Manchuanguan.

Significance of the construction of the West 10 high-speed railway:
After the opening of the West 10 high-speed railway, Xi'an to Shiyan will achieve 1 hour to arrive, and the arrival time from Xi'an to Wuhan will also be shortened from 5 hours to 2.5 hours.
West-Chongqing high-speed railway
Project Status:
New progress has been made in the construction of the exit area of the Huayingshan Tunnel, a key control project of the West-Chongqing High-speed Railway, with the excavation of the main tunnel exceeding 1,000 meters and the parallel pilot tunnel excavation exceeding 1,500 meters, exceeding the target task in the first quarter.
Route Introduction:
With a total length of 739 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, the Xi-Chongqing high-speed railway will be constructed in two sections: Xi'an to Ankang and Ankang to Chongqing, and the connecting line between the Xi-Chongqing high-speed railway and the Zhengyu high-speed railway will be built simultaneously. The main line from Xi'an to Ankang has a total length of 171 kilometers, and the construction has started in June 2021, with a construction period of 5 years.
Project Significance:
After the completion of the project, it will be connected with the Chengdu-Chongqing high-speed railway, Zhengzhou-Chongqing high-speed railway, Chongqing-Kunming high-speed railway, Xi'an-Yan'an high-speed railway, Xi'an-Shiyan high-speed railway and other lines under construction, so as to further improve the road network structure in the central and western regions.
After the completion and opening of the Xiyu-Chongqing high-speed railway, the travel time between Xi'an and Chongqing is expected to be shortened from about 6 hours to about 2.5 hours.
Xikang high-speed railway
Latest developments:
Recently, the Lijiashan Tunnel of the 5th bid section of the Xikang high-speed railway has been successfully completed, laying a good foundation for the smooth progress of the follow-up construction.
Xikang high-speed rail line:
The total length of the new main line of the Xi'an-Ankang high-speed railway is 170.854 kilometers, including 161.310 kilometers of bridges and tunnels, 20 tunnels and 26 bridges.
Up to now, 5 tunnels have been penetrated, and 102,388.57 meters of tunnels have been completed, 64.46% of the design has been completed. The bridge is 10,137 meters long, and 52.26% of the design is completed.
Significance of Xikang high-speed railway construction:
After the project is completed and opened to traffic, the running time of the Xi'an-Ankang railway will be shortened from about 3 hours to less than 1 hour, which will greatly shorten the time and space distance between the Guanzhong urban agglomeration and the Qinba Mountains in southern Shaanxi, and improve the level of passenger and freight transportation services along the line.
