1. Pay attention to the earing ability of wheat varieties
The stronger the panicle formation ability, the easier it is to easily produce high yields.
The worse the panicle formation ability, not only the need to increase the sowing amount and waste the input, but also the potential risk of yield reduction (the compensatory ability of the variety is too weak).
Generally, about 400,000 mu of ears approved by Huanghuai South and more than 460,000 mu of Huanghuai North are better.
Second, pay attention to the rust resistance of wheat varieties

Fourth, pay attention to the ability of wheat varieties to resist "withered white ears".
The "withered white ears" of wheat are caused by one or more of the four diseases of rhizome rot, which is not only easy to cause yield reduction (they boast of a yield of 1,900 catties per mu, while the actual yield of growers per mu is about 900 catties). In addition to observing the proportion of "withered white ears" in the field during the filling period (it takes multiple varieties to compare to be true), the most direct thing is to look at the grains: the small grains and black grains are seriously caused by the "withered white ears".
Fifth, pay attention to the bulk density of wheat varieties
It is better to have an average approved bulk density of more than 820 g/L. Because, low bulk density = bad grout = bad root system.
Sixth, pay attention to the drought resistance of wheat varieties
In addition to the large grains, the approved 1000-grain weight, and the approved bulk density, many varieties in the field were compared and observed to observe the drought resistance, and some varieties that were easy to wilt were eliminated in advance.
7. Pay attention to the elasticity of straw in wheat varieties
The straw of the wheat variety should not be soft or hard, press the straw to the outside of the field and feel the "resilience".
8. Pay attention to the maturity period of wheat varieties
