At 6 a.m. on April 24, the morning light was slightly dewed. Outside the Jinke Shijin City Community in Nanchuan District, the stall owners of the "Tide Stall" have begun to get busy.

Most of them are vegetable farmers from the outskirts of the city, who work at sunrise and rest at sunset. In front of them is their entire livelihood.

Many citizens came to the "tidal stall area" to buy vegetables, and the scene was very lively.

37-year-old Gong Xiaoyan is one of the few "young people" among them, so she naturally took the initiative to take on a responsibility. After placing the vegetables on the stall neatly, she reminded other vegetable farmers to pay attention to the cleanliness and order of the stall, "Uncle, put the vegetables in it a little more" and "Pick up the garbage under your feet".

The "Tidal Stalls", pioneered by Chongqing Nanchuan in April 2023, demarcate temporary business areas around urban communities and parks, providing regular and fixed-point legal sales space for vegetable and fruit farmers.

This kind of innovative management allows itinerant vendors like Gong Xiaoyan to operate with peace of mind within the specified time, and no longer need to drag the scales and vegetable baskets to run for their lives.

"Since we have the tidal stall area, we no longer have to hide in Tibet like before, we have to be on guard at all times when selling vegetables, and we have to quickly close the stall as soon as there is an inspection. Seeing the reporter, Gong Xiaoyan immediately put down the vegetables in her hand and said enthusiastically: "This is a great thing! It has helped us vegetable farmers a lot, reporter brother, thank you for coming to publicize!"

The chengguan law enforcement officers on duty communicate with the vendors.

From her mouth, she learned that in Nanchuan District, there are 31 such stalls, providing more than 2,100 stalls. With the increase in scale, the management of the "tidal stall area" has become more and more mature, forming an autonomous system with the participation of urban management law enforcement team members, sanitation personnel and "booth chiefs".

Gong Xiaoyan is a "stall manager", and her warm and kind personality has also won the trust of many vendors.

At 8 o'clock, the surrounding residents came one after another. Gong Xiaoyan was selling vegetables while carefully looking around to make sure the stall area remained orderly and clean.

"Actually, everyone is very grateful to be able to get the opportunity to sell vegetables in a fixed stall, so we also have to understand each other and help the development of environmental sanitation and urban management law enforcement......" Before she finished speaking, Gong Xiaoyan saw Luo Zhengping, a law enforcement officer from the urban management department, "Brother Luo is here!" she greeted.

Behind the stalls, there is always a broom.

Luo Zhengping is a member of the team in charge of the "tidal stall area" of Jinke World Gem City, and after more than a year of getting along, he has become closer and closer to the vendors.

"It's a win-win-win situation, the vendors have a place to sell vegetables, the citizens are more convenient to buy vegetables, and the city's management work is carried out more smoothly. Luo Zhengping pointed to the broom behind Gong Xiaoyan's stall, "They are becoming more and more understanding of urban management, and they took the initiative to ask for a broom and clean the stall area after closing the stall every day." ”

The sun is gradually rising, the citizens who buy vegetables are in an endless stream, and the streets are filled with fireworks, lively and friendly.

The stalls are integrated into the community and are part of the city's life.

The street after the stalls are closed and tidy.

As the closing time approached, the crowd gradually dispersed, and the vendors sorted out the remaining goods, counted the income, and prepared to end the morning's business.

Gong Xiaoyan picked up a broom, thoroughly cleaned up the garbage around the stall, and worked with other vendors to restore the lively neighborhood to peace and order.

In the past, they were struggling with "the city is so big, but there is no place for the vegetable seller", but now, they praise that "although the city is big, the tidal stall area has reserved a place for them." ”

"Brother Luo, we've closed the stall, see you in the afternoon. ”
