The physical sandbox game Garry's Mod (Gmod) officially announced today that at Nintendo's request, the game will remove Nintendo-related content from the Workshop.
The original text of the announcement is as follows:
"Some of you may have noticed that some Nintendo-related Workshop projects have recently been taken off the shelves. This is not a mistake, these takedowns came from Nintendo's request.
Honestly, that's fair. It's Nintendo's content, and it's up to them to decide what they allow and don't allow. They don't want you to play with this stuff in Garry's Mod, it's their decision, and we have to respect their decision and remove as much of it as we can.
It's an ongoing process because we still have almost 20 years of uploads to work on. It would help us a lot if you would help us by deleting Nintendo-related uploads and never uploading them again. ”
