The second season of Netflix's live-action One Piece has received a major update, with Joe Tracz serving as the co-showrunner.
Along with season one co-creator, writer and executive producer Matt Owens, Trates will helm the second season of the hit comic adaptation.
Steven Maeda, who co-developed the series with Owens and served as the co-series operator for the first season, will step back but will continue to serve as the executive producer of the series.
Tratz used to be the writer and co-executive producer of "Percy Jackson", but the response to the show was mediocre, with only 5.7 points on Douban. Previously, he also wrote Netflix's Ducky & Lily and served as a series operator.
The first season of One Piece launched in August 2023 and was quickly renewed by Netflix, making the live-action series one of Netflix's biggest hits last year.
The word-of-mouth of the first season of this drama far exceeded expectations, and I don't know if the new operator can maintain a high level of performance after joining.
Tratz is also a big fan of Eiichiro Oda and hopes his arrival will make the dream of greatness on the Great Route even more exciting!
It is reported that the second season of "One Piece" is expected to start filming in June this year and be broadcast in 2025.
