Dictated/Ms. Zhang
In this bustling world, everyone is staging their own joys and sorrows. And I, a woman who is too ordinary to be ordinary, hides a little-known story behind it. Today, I would like to share with you my experience, a rough life of perseverance and choice.
I've had a poor physique since I was a child, and I always give people the feeling of being weak and can't help it. This constitution seems to have been inherited from my mother, and the women in my family are like this. Despite looking thin, fortunately there was no major illness. However, it is this kind of physique that makes it extremely difficult for me to walk on the road of marriage.
My husband, Mr. Wang, had a grudge against me from the beginning. He always felt that my weak appearance would cause him endless trouble. In those years, I made great efforts to prove myself and get his approval. Finally, I conceived my child, and at that moment, I thought I had finally found my place in the family.
However, the torture of pregnancy and the thrill of childbirth almost cost me my life. But God favored, and in the end, the mother and child were safe. The arrival of my child has indeed brought me a lot of joy and made me feel a sense of belonging in my family.
However, Mr. Wang's attitude has not changed. He still disliked my frail health, and even began to look for new solace outside. I knew about his betrayal, but I chose to remain silent. Because I understand that the integrity of a family is far more important than the dignity of the individual.
Until one day, Mr. Wang forced me to sign an agreement. That agreement, like a sharp knife, pierced deep into my heart. Economically, the AA system does not interfere with each other emotionally, and they take care of each other when they are old and sick. These terms, like invisible shackles, completely sever the emotional bond between us.
At that moment, I felt hopeless than I had ever felt before. But I also understood that I couldn't allow myself to sink into pain. So, I began to learn to redeem myself. I learned to take care of myself, I learned to be strong in the midst of illness. Those past events that once made my heart ache have slowly become a unique scenery in my life.
However, fate doesn't seem to favor me. Just when I thought I was used to this AA life, Mr. Wang suddenly suffered a stroke. His mobility became impaired and he could barely take care of himself. Relatives accused me of being cruel and refusing to take care of him. But I know that the existence of that agreement has completely broken the relationship between me and him.
Faced with Mr. Wang's predicament, I chose to send him to a nursing home. There are medical professionals there to take care of him, and there are also peers of the same age to accompany him. I believe that this is the best arrangement for him. And I myself also need to continue my life and continue to pursue my own happiness.
Looking back, those experiences are like a heavy movie, playing again and again in my heart. But I also understand that life is full of helplessness and choices. We can't predict what will happen in the future, but we can choose how to face it.
Perhaps, in the eyes of many people, I am a ruthless woman. But what I want to say is that everyone has their own story and choices. I chose to stand by my dignity and happiness rather than be tied to a marriage that was already in name only.
Now I have come out of those gloomy years. I learned to be independent, I learned to be strong. I know that true happiness can only be achieved if people truly live for themselves. And this happiness does not come from the charity and mercy of others, but from one's own efforts and persistence.
