In this busy city, the small apartment has become a temporary haven for me. Today, I finally finished the trivial affairs of moving, looked around, looked at the simple but full of stories of furniture, and my heart swelled with inexplicable emotion.
That computer desk, which was originally just a waste in the company, has been revitalized by my skillful hands. Although it is inconspicuous, it carries my countless nights of struggle and dreams. In the dead of night, I sit in front of it, tapping on the keyboard, communicating and sharing with the world.
A computer chair is also a bonus. I happened to be passing by when the company next door was about to sell it to the scrap collectors. Perhaps out of camaraderie among colleagues, they ended up giving it to me for free. Although this chair is a little old, it is extremely comfortable to sit on, as if you can feel the temperature and story of the previous owner.
The sofa was "rescued" from the garbage heap by several friends. Although a leg was missing, we cleverly cushioned it with bricks, and it was able to use it safely. Whenever I was tired, I lay on it and enjoyed a moment of peace and relaxation.
The one I'm most proud of is the computer. It's a bad computer that was knocked out of the office building, but we treat it like a baby. Cleaning, repairing, assembling ...... After some tossing, it miraculously came back to life. Whenever I turn on the machine, the familiar images and sounds always make me feel extremely familiar and satisfied.
Although these pieces of furniture are waste in the eyes of others, they have become treasures to me. Not only have they saved me a lot of money and energy, but they have also taught me to cherish and be grateful. I am grateful to have your company and support all the way, so that I can find a sense of home in this strange city.
