Normally, the people we have chatted with will be displayed on the chat history page of WeChat. Unless you have cleared or deleted your chat history, you will be able to find out who you have chatted with on this page.
But what if you don't want to empty or delete these chats, but want to hide them?
The first method is very simple, just find the chat history you want to hide on this page, and then long press on the chat history. After a long press, an option will appear, select "Don't show this chat". Once you tap on the option, the chat history will be hidden.
If you want to find the chat history with that person again, you can go to the top right corner of WeChat and click on the magnifying glass icon, and then enter his WeChat nickname or the note you changed for him in the search box. For example, if the person I just hid is called Yuan, then I can type "Yuan" in the search box and swipe to find it, and his chat history will appear.
You can also find his chat history through your address book. Also according to his nickname or the note you changed for him, find his contact in the address book and click on the letter "Y" in the address book to jump to the contact that starts with "Y".
Then I can swipe to find it, which is more convenient if you don't have a lot of friends. However, if you have a large number of friends, it is recommended to use the magnifying glass search function in the upper right corner. Through this method, we can find his chat history.
The second way is to tap on the user's avatar to go to the profile page and then tap on the avatar again. There is a menu button in the upper right corner of the profile page, click on it and select "Add to Blacklist" to turn it on and confirm the action.
If you do this, the user will be hidden, no one else will be able to know about the user's existence, and only you will be able to find him.
Next, click "Me" in the bottom right corner of the page, and then select "Settings" again to enter the settings page,
Select once in the friend permission option, and then you'll see the "Contacts Blacklist".
After clicking on, you will find the user's information, click on his information again, and there is also a menu button in the upper right corner, click once, and then select "Remove from Blacklist", turn off the switch, so that you can resume normal chats with the user.
