——Daxiang District's 2024 "Science Popularization into Campus" activity was held in Daxiang District No. 1 Middle School
In order to further improve the scientific literacy of young people, promote the spirit of science, cultivate students' innovative spirit and practical ability, and promote the further development of scientific and technological innovation education in schools, on the afternoon of April 24, the 2024 "Science Popularization into Campus" activity in Daxiang District, Shaoyang City, was held in Daxiang District No. 1 Middle School. The event was jointly sponsored by Daxiang District Science and Technology Association, Daxiang District New Era Civilization Practice Center, Daxiang District Education Bureau, and Daxiang District Chengxi Sub-district Office, and undertaken by the First Middle School of Daxiang District, Shaoyang City.
The theme of this year's Science Day is "Open the Door to Science and Master the Essence of Science", which is hosted by Shaoyang Ren Daoming Science and Technology Innovation Famous Teacher Studio. The activity was divided into two parts, firstly, Huang Bangfu, vice chairman of Daxiang District Association for Science and Technology and president of Daxiang District People's Hospital, brought a lecture on "Prevention and Control of Campus Infectious Diseases in Winter and Spring" to the students. The lecture gave a professional and vivid explanation to the students from the concept, epidemic characteristics, transmission routes and prevention and control principles of infectious diseases, and focused on the transmission routes, symptoms and preventive measures of six infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, chickenpox, influenza and mycoplasma pneumonia, and guided the teachers and students to establish the health concept of "everyone is the first responsible person for their own health", and promoted teenagers to improve their health awareness and develop scientific, civilized and healthy living habits.
After the lecture, the programming technology workers performed the "robot dog dance" for the students on the playground. Accompanied by cheerful music, the "robot dog" danced on the campus, showing flexible movements such as squatting, somersaults, running, turning, and lying down through multi-dimensional body activities.
Under the guidance of the staff of the Science and Technology Museum, students actively participated in the process of scientific exploration through observation, hands-on and experiments, and witnessed and experienced various magical scientific phenomena. These high-end devices not only popularize scientific knowledge, but also provide a new learning environment for children, bring a rich scientific experience, make science more interesting and easy to understand, and greatly stimulate students' scientific and technological innovation thinking.
