The best state of learning PS is to play, and if you play more, you will naturally understand. This learning method is similar to playing a game, after all, in order to play a new game, you still have to learn the basic rules. If you want to play more powerful in the later stage, you can only spend time playing more, and naturally become a game god.
The cutout method I want to talk to my friends today is very simple: main function + mask
The body begins
Before we begin, let's try our hand at a picture that is not very complicated, such as a pet.
The old rule is to import the image into PS, and then turn off the visual state of the background layer.
Then let's click [Select] - [Subject]
You will find that the cat is selected by the dotted box.
At this time, you only need to add a [mask]
In this way, you can pick out the cat, isn't it very simple?
But don't be too happy~ If you compare it carefully with the original picture, you will find that some of the details of the cat are gone.
If you want to completely pick out the cat's beard, there are many ways to do it, such as duplicating one more layer and then using the method of color level + mask.
Here let's copy one more layer, select the layer corresponding to the cat on the layer control panel, and then press [Ctrl] + [J]
This replicates an extra layer of the cat's layer.
Then delete the top cat mask, and click [Right Mouse Button] on the top cat mask - [Delete Layer Mask]
In this way, the top layer mask is removed, and the editing area is white again, so don't worry.
At this time, it is time to use the channel control panel to adjust the [Levels] and add the operation of [Mask].

Copy a layer of the darkest color channel, then go to the Levels adjustment (Levels Control Panel shortcut Crtl+L)
Then after adjusting the color of the gradation, hold down [Crtl] and then use [Mouse] to click on the thumbnail of the corresponding color channel, select the darker area, and then press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [i] to select the inverted box.
Then click on the [RGB] channel, return to the layer control panel, add a layer of mask, and the cat will be pulled out, and this time the whiskers will be complete.
Some friends will say, why not just use the color level + mask method? Ahahaha, because the color level + mask also has places that can't be cut. I don't believe you hide the layer of the subject + mask that you did for the first time.
The two layers are stacked on top of each other perfectly.
