After leaving swimming, he found himself interested in skating, and this was the beginning of his life, after which Liu Shaolin trained for a year in Changchun, China.

In the 14 years of the World Championships, Liu Shaolin became the first player in Hungarian history to win the championship in short track speed skating with a time of 41.853 seconds.
