As of now, there are more than 6 million active addresses on zkSync (even if only the addresses that actively interact on zkSync Era are considered), and ZK-based L2 star projects like Starknet have implemented a token airdrop program and rewarded about 500,000 unique users, so how will zkSync handle the airdrop?
Simulate Starknet token allocation
The Starknet Foundation's token distribution rules, in addition to requiring a minimum balance of 0.005 ETH, include the following conditions:
- Have an active record for at least 3 different months;
- Complete at least 6 interactions;
- The total amount of the transaction is not less than $100;
We used these three rules to simulate two airdrop scenarios based on different parameters for the active addresses of zkSync Era.
Plan A: Filter out 2.78 million eligible addresses:
- Have an active record for at least 4 different months;
- Complete at least 10 interactions;
- The total amount of the transaction is not less than $100;
Plan B: Filter out 2.05 million eligible addresses:
- Have an active record for at least 4 different months;
- Complete at least 30 interactions;
- The total amount of the transaction is not less than $500;
Rank 500,000 addresses
We plan to follow the example of the Starknet Foundation, which rewards 500,000 unique user addresses, excluding developers, etc., and found the 500,006th address 0xe175681e0690f252b09bcb0ae92de7428232b975 based on a combination of on-chain addresses based on a combination of scoring dimensions such as assets, engagement, diversity, identity, and usage duration.

The performance of this address is actually very good, and we have listed some of the dimensions that stand out below:
MEDIA-based 交互行为分析
Of all addresses, about 2.9 million (46%) exceeded the cut-off score of 60. Foresight News Note: MEDIA Score is proportional to the ratio of its "time spent" (i.e., the number of days since the first use of zkSync Era), which means that the longer a user spends using it, the higher their MEDIA score.
Cross-chain amount distribution
The number of addresses on the Ethereum mainnet that have completed cross-chain through the official cross-chain bridge is 2,265,883, and we calculated the cross-chain amount distribution of these addresses based on the value of mainstream tokens.
Distribution of the amount of money interaction
The total number of zkSync Era interaction addresses is 5,831,239, and we calculated the distribution of interaction amounts for these addresses based on the value of mainstream tokens.
As you can see, only a small percentage of addresses have less than $100 in engagements.
Active month statistics
zkSync Era has 6,192,010 active engagement addresses, and based on their active months, we found that 52% of users have been engaged with zkSync for more than 3 months.
Main active month range
Statistically, we found that there are nearly 4 million accounts with more than 10 transactions, and when we categorize the active months of these accounts, we find that most of the accounts have active months between 3 and 10 months.
The number of contracts that are interacted with
There are currently a total of 4,969,711 addresses that have interacted with contracts on zkSync Era, and most of them have interacted with more than 5 contracts.
zkSync Lite 用户的 MEDIA 评分
The number of addresses with interaction records on zkSync Lite is 1,864,953, and the MEDIA score of these addresses is also proportional to the ratio of their "Lite usage time" (i.e., the number of days since the first use of zkSync Lite).
Paymaster analytics
Paymaster is a unique advantage of zkSync Era that allows users to pay gas fees with non-ETH, which is more convenient for many users.
According to statistics, there are 765,898 addresses on zkSync Era that have used the Paymaster feature, and the vast majority of these addresses have a MEDIA rating above 50 and a fairly high percentage of ratings above 80.
