Whenever I step into the Yuan Dadu Ruins Park, time seems to slow down, the green water soup soup weeping willows are still around, the Hongqiao Wobo Yellow Pavilion plays the clouds, and there are old people who leisurely sing Beijing opera strolling in it, happy children, red men and green women in three or three, painting a poetic picture. Every April, the begonias on the riverbank bloom on the branches, revealing a pink and fragrant delicate face like a girl, and it will become a famous begonia flower feast in Beijing.
From time to time, I would climb up to the six-meter-high mound deep in the park, with a one-man wide path that winds and undulates over the ruins of a walled city from the Yuan Dynasty. When I learned about the history of the Yuan Dynasty, I preferred to stop and meditate in front of the "Dadu Peak" group of sculptures and 80-meter murals, and trace the story of the rise and fall of the dynasty that had been performed next to the mounds in this area.
More than 800 years ago, the steppe people on horseback in the north jumped out of the horizon of history, swept over most of the Eurasian continent, and established the mighty Great Yuan Empire. A few war horses neighed and galloped, and I seemed to have returned to the battlefield of the golden iron horse and felt the passion of the grassland people. Kublai Khan, a burly and majestic figure standing between heaven and earth, his eyes are gentle and profound, and the majestic strategy of "strategizing and winning a decisive victory thousands of miles away" and the eloquence of governing the country and the country are roughly hidden between the eyebrows; the beautiful and solemn Yuan Concubine stands peacefully beside her, showing the phoenix of the Yuan Empire. Above the court, civil and military officials gathered, and religious figures and foreign envoys also came to meet and presented tribute ornaments from Greece, India, West Asia and Southeast Asia......
However, this powerful dynasty only existed for ninety-eight years before it perished. When the Yuan Dynasty fell in 1368, a fire scorched the city, which was once described as golden. After Kublai Khan's descendants fled back to the Mongolian steppe, the former imperial palace, imperial garden, temple, temple, bell and drum tower, and observatory ...... Almost all of the ornate buildings were destroyed or modified, and they were crushed under the city of Beijing in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Today, the palace of Yuan Dadu no longer exists, and all that remains is the out-of-print city wall.
Taking history as the soul, standing on the earthen city wall and looking out, the former Jin Ge Iron Horse galloping vertically and horizontally is still in front of you; with water as the line, the quiet flowing water of the Xiaoyue River tells the smoke and clouds of history. The continuous exhibition of time and space is never just the transformation of spring flowers and autumn leaves, but the historical stories interpreted by generations of people, and the profound thinking and enlightenment of "taking history as a mirror to know the rise and fall".
Time flies and talks about the vicissitudes of life, and listens to the wind and rain. Beijing, a historic city that has experienced countless vicissitudes and tribulations, is now radiating new vitality and vitality under the leadership of the Communist Party, becoming a city of the Double Olympic Games and a place of world attention. Only then can we appreciate the tranquility of these years under the warm sunshine.
