On the morning of April 24, Zhao Fengchun, Secretary of the District Party Committee, presided over the 12th meeting of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee in 2024. The meeting conveyed and studied the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on statistical work and the spirit of relevant meetings of the central, provincial and municipal governments, and studied the implementation of opinions in our district. The meeting stressed the need to strengthen statistical understanding and constantly enhance the sense of responsibility and urgency for doing a good job in statistical work. It is necessary to strengthen the quality of statistics, persist in seeking truth from facts, and ensure that statistical data is "sourced and traced to the source". It is necessary to increase the intensity of statistical law enforcement inspections, persist in attaching equal importance to law enforcement and guidance, and strive to improve the operational level of statistical work to ensure that statistical data are objective and true. It is necessary to strengthen statistical analysis, strengthen analysis and judgment, and give full play to the role of statistical work in serving economic and social development.
The meeting listened to the 2024 work review plan of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress. The meeting pointed out that the appraisal of work is an important part of the district people's congress in performing its functions and strengthening supervision. It is necessary to fully understand the important significance of carrying out the appraisal of the work of the people's congresses, take the initiative to accept the supervision of the people's congresses, promote government departments to better perform their duties, and further promote the building of democracy and the rule of law; it is necessary to strengthen work measures, do a good job in the appraisal and rectification work in a down-to-earth manner, and earnestly ensure that the ideological understanding of the work is grasped, the problem orientation is grasped, the rectification and reform are strengthened, and the follow-up supervision is strengthened, so as to further consolidate and expand the results of the work, so that the broad masses of the people can personally feel the new changes and new atmosphere brought about by the appraisal of work.
The meeting listened to the report on the key work of social governance in our district in 2023, and reviewed and approved in principle the "2024 Work Plan for the Consolidation and Improvement of Key Social Governance Work in Shuangqing District, Shaoyang City" and the "Special Work Plan and Assessment Measures for the Consolidation and Improvement of Key Social Governance Work in Shuangqing District, Shaoyang City in 2024". The meeting required that we should thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on social governance and safe production, and focus on integrating resources from all parties with a sense of responsibility of "always rest assured", comprehensively build a solid bottom line of safety, and strive to strengthen key social governance work such as safe production, traffic safety, prevention of student drowning, petition and stability maintenance, anti-drug control, anti-electric fraud, and "Sword and Thunder Action", so as to maintain the overall harmony and stability of Shuangqing society and build a higher level of safety and security.
The meeting listened to the report on the key construction projects in our district in 2024, and reviewed and approved in principle the work plan on the district leaders to connect with the "six" industrial chain to accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system. The meeting emphasized that it is necessary to conscientiously implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions during his inspection in Hunan, fully implement the new development concept, closely follow the requirements of high-quality development, focus on the six industrial chains of hydraulics, renewable resources, biomedicine, characteristic light industry, modern agriculture and trade logistics, and carry out in-depth strengthening of the chain, extension of the chain, supplementation of the chain, and integration of the chain, cultivate a number of advantageous industries, a number of iconic enterprises, a number of public technical service platforms, overcome a number of key core technologies, and introduce a number of high-tech talents. We will focus on the high-quality development of the industry, take deepening the supply-side structural reform as the main line, and take reform and innovation as the fundamental driving force, promote the high-end, intelligent and green development of the "six major industrial chains", and continue to enhance the overall strength and core competitiveness of the region's industrial development.
The meeting also listened to the report on accelerating the high-quality full coverage of township supply and marketing cooperatives and the work report of "ensuring the delivery of buildings", studied and deployed the next step, and the meeting also studied other matters.
