Since its official establishment in 2014, the Guiyang Marathon has been deeply loved by runners at home and abroad, and has been successfully held for seven times. The first session was awarded the title of "Bronze Medal Event of the Chinese Athletics Association" by the Chinese Athletics Association.

The 2019 Guiyang Marathon attracted 26,000 runners from home and abroad to gather in Zhucheng and start with passion. This year, the "Guima" track was fully optimized, the event service was upgraded, no longer with a single administrative region as the main track, but in the way of "cross-district running", showing the ecological beauty of Guiyang, runners along the "Guima" track, experiencing Guiyang's green mountains, clear water, stone forests, wetlands, little by little to push open the Guiyang picture, little by little with the pace of the participants to show their own face. Let the contestants fully experience the natural landscape of Guiyang, the city of a thousand gardens, and experience the charm of the world's famous tourist city featuring ecology.

The 2023 Guiyang Marathon returned in the most enthusiastic way, and with the joint efforts of the runners and the organizers, a wonderful event was staged! The 2023 Guiyang Marathon was evaluated by the Chinese Athletics Association as an integrated sports and tourism development event.
25,000 runners ran on the picturesque ecological track in Guiyang, after four years, the endless slope of Guima and the endless scenery left countless thoughts for Guima players. In the long journey of the Guima track, everything has a turn, I believe that after tasting the abuse of the Guima, everything will eventually come back. The clouds and mountains are green, the lakes are turbulent, the wind of running friends, the mountains are high and the waters are long, the rivers and mountains are picturesque in Guiyang, the coexistence of beauty and abuse, unforgettable!
