April 26 is the 24th World Intellectual Property Day, and the theme of this year's Shanghai Intellectual Property Publicity Week is "Intellectual Property Transformation and Application to Promote High-quality Development". On April 24, the Hongkou District Intellectual Property Office launched a publicity activity on the theme of "Intellectual Property Joins Hands with Creative Design to Help the Development of New Quality Productivity" at Shanghai Lester Institute of Technology (Shanghai Institute of Innovation and Creative Design).

At the event, the trademark brand innovation and entrepreneurship base of Lester Institute of Technology was officially awarded. Shanghai Lester Institute of Technology is an excellent building with a long history of 90 years, which was completely renovated in 2022 and reborn. It will bring together the world's top scientific and technological innovation talents in production, learning, research and employment, become the "nuclear explosion point" of Hongkou's scientific and technological innovation and design creativity, build an industrial R&D system driven by scientific and technological innovation, and help cultivate new models and new economies through interdisciplinary and full-link innovation. This year, in order to give full play to the promoting role of the trademark brand, stimulate the vitality of science and technology, and serve the incubation and growth of various types of enterprises and innovation and entrepreneurship, the Municipal Intellectual Property Office approved the establishment of the trademark brand innovation and entrepreneurship base of Lester Institute of Technology upon the recommendation of the District Intellectual Property Office.

In order to develop new quality productivity, intellectual property protection is indispensable, during the event, the Hongkou District North Bund Intellectual Property Mediation Studio jointly established by the District Market Supervision Bureau, the District Justice Bureau, the District Court and the District Procuratorate was officially unveiled, and a "dispute mediation expert team" jointly established by the self-discipline institute, intellectual property service agencies and experts in the field of intellectual property in universities was also formally established. In the future, the studio will provide more diversified, convenient and efficient ways for all kinds of innovative market entities to resolve intellectual property disputes, and the "think tank" will also provide professional guarantee for the improvement of the studio's mediation service capabilities.

This event focused on the protection and transformation of intellectual property rights, and in the corporate theme sharing session, the person in charge of Shanghai Medi Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd. shared the theme of "High-quality Development of Characteristic Industrial Brands" in combination with the situation of Hongkou District. Representatives of key enterprises in Hongkou, such as PATEO Internet of Vehicles, Shanghai Jahwa, Zhongtai Energy and Dewu APP, shared their experience and practices in the protection and application of intellectual property rights.
Outside the venue, the District Market Supervision Bureau, the District Procuratorate, the District Court, the District Justice Bureau, the District Science and Economic Commission, the Hongkou Branch of the Public Security Bureau, and the Law Enforcement Brigade of the District Bureau of Culture and Tourism set up booths to provide intellectual property legal advice and rights protection assistance for the participating enterprises, and financial institutions such as the Bank of Communications, Industrial Bank, and Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank carried out intellectual property pledge financing consulting services for enterprises. It is worth mentioning that the District Intellectual Property Office has specially produced and issued the "Compilation of Policies on Patent Transformation and Application", which is distributed to enterprises through channels such as event sites, industrial parks, and government service windows, so as to provide guidance for enterprises to grasp the key tasks and policies of patent transformation.
