What is an index student
Indicator students refer to the enrollment quota of junior high schools in the jurisdiction that is directly allocated to the enrollment quota of ordinary high school enrollment plans. According to national and provincial policies, high-quality ordinary high schools must allocate no less than 60% of their enrollment plans to junior high schools within their jurisdiction. The original intention of the policy is to maintain educational fairness, ensure that at least a certain proportion of students in each junior high school are admitted to ordinary high schools, and it is also an effective means to reverse the crowding of everyone to a few "famous schools" junior high schools, and it is also one of the measures to promote the balanced development of compulsory education, so that students in weak schools also have the opportunity to enjoy high school education resources. The quota of index students in each high-quality high school in our city shall be uniformly allocated by the county and municipal education and sports bureaus (municipal high schools shall be uniformly allocated within the scope of Decheng District and Tianqu New District). In order to ensure the quality of enrollment and educational fairness, the city has set up an index student admission control score line, that is, if the candidate's score is lower than 30 points below the unified enrollment score line of the enrollment school, he shall not be admitted, and the school's unfinished index student plan will be included in the unified enrollment plan. In addition, the index students are allocated to each junior high school according to the approved number, which is not specific to a specific candidate, but depends on whether the candidate's high school entrance examination score occupies the number of places in the graduation school under the condition that the grade meets the requirements of the school to which the applicant is applied.
What is the difference between index students and unified admissions?
In terms of scores: In general, the unified enrollment line is higher than the score line of index students.
If the number of students on the unified enrollment line of the candidate's graduation school is greater than the number of index students assigned to the school, the admission line of the index students shall not be lower than the unified enrollment line; if the number of index students on the unified enrollment line is less than the number of index students assigned to the school, the admission line of the index students should be within 30 points under the unified enrollment line, otherwise the index will be invalid. After the admission of the index student plan is completed, the re-admission belongs to the unified enrollment (except for students with art and sports specialties).
In terms of admission order: index students will be admitted first, and then unified enrollment will be admitted.

Which candidates are not eligible for the index student policy?
(1) Former students;
(2) Candidates whose school registration is inconsistent with the school where they are registered;
(3) Graduates who are studying in junior high schools outside the province and city and return to their cities to take the high school entrance examination.
