According to statistics, Tong Min is suspected of defrauding nearly 50 million yuan, and the police have withdrawn the case because he committed suicide by throwing himself into the river. In order to recover their losses, the 29 victims sued Tong Min's father, Tong Moumou, Guangzhou NetEase Computer System Co., Ltd., and Tenpay Payment System Co., Ltd. as co-defendants. After twists and turns, the case was tried on April 23 at the Jiangyang District People's Court in Luzhou City. After the trial, the court did not announce the verdict in court.
Red Star News learned from an interview that most of the 29 victims were Tong Min's relatives, friends and acquaintances, and even his mother and sister. According to the police investigation, most of the money suspected of fraud by Tong Min was recharged by her to online games, amounting to 30 million yuan.

Back on May 31, 2021, the weather in Luzhou City was getting hotter, and Ms. Yin, 48, went out to Tong Min's house early in the morning, which was the "refund" date agreed between Tong Min and her. Since 2017, Tong Min has entered into a number of investment agreements with Ms. Yin in the name of "investing in the Tianli School Project", and has taken more than 1,000 yuan from her.

Near the community where Tong Min lived, Ms. Yin met Tong Min who was in a hurry to go out. Tong Min walked out with two bottles of good wine, greeted her warmly when she saw her, and asked Ms. Yin to go to her house to wait for a while, and she went to the school leader to sign and refund the money. Ms. Yin recalled to Red Star News that Tong Min was still very capable at that time, and she didn't notice that she was abnormal.
Afterwards, Ms. Yin learned that the liquor Tong Min took was actually prepared for suicide. In fact, Tong Min had resigned from Hejiang Tianli School as early as December 2020. On the same day, after drinking liquor, Tong Min jumped into the river and was rescued by a morning jogger and put him in a taxi. The driver wanted to take her to the police station, but when Tong Min threatened to grab the steering wheel, he had to send her to the gate of the community. After getting out of the car, Tong Min stopped a taxi and went to the Yangtze River......
At Tong Min's house, many "investors" waited for her to return home, and called her one after another, only to find that her mobile phone had been turned off. Ms. Yin recalled that in the end, Tong Min's husband said, "You should call the police." A few days later, Tong Min's body was recovered 170 kilometers away at Songshui Wharf in Chongqing's Yongchuan District, where it was highly decomposed.
After receiving the report, the Jiangyang District Branch of the Luzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau believed that a crime had occurred and filed a case for investigation of Tong Min on suspicion of contract fraud.

In 2007, he was hired as the vice principal of Luzhou Tianli School with a high salary, and was later poached by another school, and in 2016, Tianli Education Group built Hejiang Tianli School in Hejiang County, Luzhou, and Tong Min was asked to be the principal of the primary school again. Ms. Yin and Ms. Dai, who were the most deceived, were very good sisters who forgot their years. More than 20 years ago, Ms. Yin and her husband were busy with business, so they asked Ms. Dai to help take care of their son, and later asked her son to worship her as his godmother. Ms. Yin watched Tong Min grow up, and the two families got very close. Because of this, Ms. Yin is convinced of Tong Min.
Ms. Yin remembers that in 2016, after Tong Min became the principal of the primary school section of Hejiang Tianli School, at a family gathering, Tong Min said that the school would invest in the establishment of training schools and kindergartens. Tianli School is very famous in Luzhou, and she was indeed very optimistic about what Tong Min called an "investment project" at that time.
After the case, according to incomplete statistics, Tong Min was suspected of defrauding 29 victims, including his mother, of nearly 50 million, and Tong Min paid more than 1.66 million yuan in interest over the years, and the actual losses of each victim totaled more than 45.69 million yuan.

Red Star News learned that the victim was once very optimistic about Tong Min's so-called project, and even thought hard to get the "investment quota".
The victim, Sister Deng, was originally engaged in the sales of wealth management products, and Ms. Yin was her customer, and the two had a good relationship. In 2017, Sister Deng also wanted to "invest" through Tong Min, so she begged Ms. Yin to give up an investment of 500,000 yuan ~ 1 million yuan, but Ms. Yin was reluctant at first. Later, she invested a sum of money in Tong Min through Ms. Yin. Later, Sister Deng participated in a dinner with Tong Min under the recommendation of Ms. Yin, and since then she has been online with Tong Min, and has been defrauded of a total of 1.6 million yuan before and after.
Among the victims, the most special is Tong Min's mother, Ms. Dai. "There are a total of 1.2 million people who signed the contract, and the 35,000 yuan they usually get is not counted. Ms. Dai said that the more than one million yuan is the pension money left from the sale of the house. She told Red Star News that after her daughters got married, she and her wife basically lived separately, her wife took her grandson at the eldest daughter's child's house, and she took her grandson at the second daughter's house. At present, the couple is still working to pay off their debts.
Tong Min's second sister is also one of the victims and currently works in the hospital. At the instigation of Tong Min, the second sister "invested" 950,000 yuan. The third sister was raised by relatives since she was a child, and she has changed her surname and has not "escaped". According to the "Investor Investment Schedule of the "Tong Min Contract Fraud Case" issued by the Jiangyang District Public Security Bureau of Luzhou City, the third sister was defrauded of 1.82 million yuan by Tong Min, Tong Min paid 140,000 yuan in interest, and her actual loss was 1.68 million yuan. "Most of her sister's money, except for deposits, was borrowed. Ms. Dai told Red Star News that now the second daughter has sold all the houses in order to repay the money, and the family rents a house to live.

Some victims told Red Star News that they suspected that Tong Min had transferred the stolen money to her husband Li, but later learned that her husband was also a victim and had spent a lot of money to "invest". His losses were not included in the amount counted in the report.
After the Luzhou Jiangyang police filed a case, the victims received an unacceptable news: most of the money that Tong Min was suspected of defrauding was recharged by her to online games, with an amount of about 30 million yuan. According to media reports, Tong Min's name in the online game "Datang Wushuang" is "Taoruo". In 2014, NetEase launched this battle game, which allows players to recruit generals to fight in groups.
"I trust her so much, why did she cheat me so badly?" Ms. Yin, the victim, registered the amount of defrauded 9.5 million yuan, and she said that the actual amount was as high as more than 10 million yuan. Tong Min promised a return rate of 1.85, that is, 100,000 yuan a year income of 18,500, and nearly 30 relatives and friends invested money in Tong Min through her. This made her saddled with millions of debts, and she once wanted to commit suicide, but she thought of giving an explanation to her relatives and friends, "I can't die like Tong Min." ”
After learning what happened to the victims, lawyer He Changming of Zhejiang Aerospace Law Firm took the initiative to contact some of the victims and represent them in the lawsuit.
He Changming introduced that because the criminal suspect Tong Min had died, the Luzhou Jiangyang police should withdraw the case for closure in accordance with the law, but the victim was worried that he would not be able to recover the loss and did not agree to withdraw the case, resulting in the civil case being unable to be initiated. In 2022, He Changming filed a civil lawsuit on behalf of the victim, but the court ruled that it would not be accepted on the grounds that "the criminal case has not been concluded, and the civil case cannot be accepted", and the victim did not agree to the police closing the case until this time.
On August 25, 2022, the Jiangyang District Branch of the Luzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau decided to withdraw the case in accordance with Article 16 of the Criminal Procedure Law due to the death of the criminal suspect Tong Min.

After that, the lawyer filed a lawsuit on behalf of the victim, and the father of Tong Min, Tong Moumou, Guangzhou NetEase Computer System Co., Ltd., Tenpay Payment System Co., Ltd. was listed as a co-defendant and requested the court to revoke Tong Min's act of directly or indirectly paying 31931335 yuan to the defendant Guangzhou NetEase Computer System Co., Ltd. between August 8, 2017 and May 31, 2021, and the defendant to return the money to the defendant Tong Moumou, and to revoke Tong Min's payment of about 2.2 million yuan to the defendant Tenpay Payment Technology Co., Ltd. from August 8, 2017 to May 31, 2021. Guangzhou NetEase Computer System Co., Ltd. jointly returned about 2.2 million yuan to Tong Moumou, and the defendant Tong Moumou was liable for repayment to the plaintiff within the scope of Tong Min's inheritance, including the above-mentioned returned money.
On April 23 this year, the Jiangyang District People's Court of Luzhou City held a trial of the case, but did not announce the verdict in court after the trial.
