Zheng Lurong said that in the field of energy storage, Sunwoda Power is one of the earliest manufacturers to develop and mass-produce large-capacity energy storage cells, and will take the lead in launching 314Ah energy storage cells, a large-capacity product with extreme safety and a longer life cycle, in the first half of 2023. From product development, mass production, delivery to cumulative shipments, Sunwoda Power is at the forefront of the industry, ranking in the first echelon in the field of R&D and manufacturing of large-capacity energy storage cells.

At this exhibition, Sunwoda Power exhibited high-performance, high-safety, and more stable 72Ah, 102Ah, 280Ah, and 314Ah energy storage cells, as well as 5 major energy storage solutions and more than 20 application scenarios such as power energy storage, industrial and commercial energy storage, home energy storage, network energy, and smart energy.

"72Ah and 102Ah energy storage cells are more favored by communication base stations, home energy storage and network energy users. 280Ah and 314Ah energy storage cells are more in line with the needs of power storage users on the power generation side and grid side, as well as industrial and commercial energy storage applications such as smart buildings, construction sites and mines, rail transit, etc., and are also favored by smart energy projects such as virtual power plants and zero-carbon parks.

The energy density of 314Ah large-capacity cells is 180Wh/kg, and the volumetric energy density is 395Wh/L, which has covered all application scenarios of 280Ah cells and is suitable for 20-foot 5MWH energy storage systems. At the same time, the 314Ah battery cell adopts Sunwoda Power's breakthrough pre-replenishment lithium technology, which will achieve a cycle life of more than 15,000 times and an ultra-long service life of 25 years, and better understand the needs of users. Zheng Lurong said to the international energy grid/energy storage headlines.

At this ESIE exhibition, Sunwoda released a new generation of Noah X 2.0 liquid-cooled energy storage products with "high safety + long life + high efficiency + high capacity", and exhibited the standard 20-foot new upgraded liquid-cooled energy storage system, officially opening the full-stack storage era with "strong core intelligent storage".

Pursue the ultimate safety design and design

Cost reduction throughout the life cycle

With the involution of the energy storage industry, the industry's attention has changed from the initial 102Ah and 280Ah to the current focus on 300Ah+ large storage cells. In Zheng Lurong's view, the larger the capacity of the energy storage cell, the more stringent safety requirements are put forward for the lithium battery energy storage body, process and fire safety, and the higher requirements are put forward for the R&D and production capacity of battery cell manufacturers. Security, maturity, and market validation are all factors to consider.

Therefore, Sunwoda Power has been pursuing the ultimate safety in terms of products, and the 314Ah battery cells it has developed have comprehensively improved the safety performance of the battery cells from three levels: materials, pole pieces and cells.

First, the "lithium iron phosphate + graphite" system + olivine crystal structure is adopted, which is safer;

Second, LFP material is used, the thermal decomposition temperature is above 800 °C, and the decomposition process is ultra-low oxygen release, which makes the performance of the cell more stable;

In addition, the battery cell has passed 62 safety tests such as overcharge, overdischarge, overload, outer short, inner short, extrusion, drop, shock, vibration, acupuncture, adiabatic temperature rise, combustion, etc., and has passed UL9540A, UL1642, UL1973, UN38.3, IEC62619, GB/T36276 and other certifications, which have achieved global adoption and have been widely recognized by customers at home and abroad.

Recently. As the price war for energy storage becomes more and more intense, the cost pressure of the industrial chain is gradually increasing, Zheng Lurong said that Sunwoda Power mainly achieves cost reduction through four aspects:

In terms of battery cells

Sunwoda Power reduces the unit Wh cost by increasing the utilization rate of cell space and improving energy density;

Energy density

Sunwoda Power reduces the cost of system integration, civil engineering, transportation and other costs, thereby reducing maintenance costs;

Service life

Sunwoda Power increases the life cycle energy throughput and reduces or eliminates the need for cell replacement;

Energy efficiency

Sunwoda Power increases the life cycle energy throughput and reduces the cost of charging and discharging.
