On April 24, in the outdoor waters of Sanya Haichang Marine Life Conservation Center, staff and diving volunteers sent the pilot whale "Begonia", a national second-class protected animal, to the medical pool for medical examination. "Begonia" ushered in the "big test" before the release. The relevant government departments and experts will conduct an "assessment" assessment of the results of their physical examination and recovery, and if they meet the release standards, they will be released in May.
In January this year, "Begonia" was found stranded on the beach of Haitang Bay in Sanya, and after 112 days of treatment, the body length of "Begonia" grew from 360 cm to 370 cm, and the brain circumference also grew from 190 cm to 200 cm.
