On April 23, 2024, during the ninth "China Space Day", the China National Space Administration held the release of the National Remote Sensing Data and Application Service Platform (Business Version) and the awarding ceremony of the third batch of pilot application units in Wuhan, Hubei. The National Remote Sensing Data and Application Service Platform (Business Version) will provide one-stop all-factor spatial information services for various professional application scenarios in the field of remote sensing, and add functions such as overall planning of observation needs, rapid response to emergencies, intelligent data push, collaborative production of products, and online agile development, which can meet the diversified needs of users and serve many important fields such as the construction of the "Belt and Road" spatial information corridor, the realization of the "double carbon" goal, and global climate change.

In order to fully tap the application potential of the platform, promote the better integration of remote sensing data and technology into the business of various departments, and create a number of demonstration benchmarking units with a driving role, the Earth Observation and Data Center of the China National Space Administration has solicited pilot application units for the business version across the country, and a total of 22 units have been shortlisted for the pilot application units.

At the same time, in order to promote the in-depth development of high-resolution earth observation technology, encourage the innovation of achievements and the integration of industry, university, research and application, during the space day event, the launch ceremony of the second high-resolution earth observation application technology innovation competition and the collection of outstanding achievements in high-resolution satellite application was held at the China Space Conference Commercial Aerospace Industry International Forum.

With the theme of "AI Remote Sensing + Helping to Form New Quality Productivity", the second competition set up four tracks for atmospheric products, land surface products, water products and common products based on high-resolution satellites, so as to promote the solution of common technical bottlenecks, form independent quantitative products, and promote the development of domestic remote sensing applications in the direction of engineering and intelligence. The outstanding achievements of high-resolution satellite application will solicit three categories: technical achievements, information products and typical application cases, aiming to further explore more innovative points and application cases of high-resolution satellite application, select a number of innovative, representative and typical outstanding achievements, activate various resources at home and abroad, promote the transformation of remote sensing achievements, and promote the integrated development of high-resolution earth observation technology.

Subsequently, the China National Space Administration will continue to expand the national remote sensing data and application service platform, focus on promoting international cooperation, exchanges and services, actively promote the development and innovation of aerospace remote sensing, help aerospace remote sensing become a model of new quality productivity, and contribute more Chinese strength to the sustainable development of the world.
