On April 24, the first phase of Qingdao Metro Line 6 will open at 10:16 a.m. on the 26th!

As the country's first fully autonomous operation system (TACS) demonstration project, the first phase of Line 6 is located in the West Coast New Area, with a total length of about 30.8 kilometers, and will become a large-capacity backbone line running through the central urban area of the West Coast New Area, with a total of 21 underground stations, namely Lingshan Bay, Xintun, Huashan, Xingtan Road, Zhaojiamiao (Film and Television Industrial Park), Maojiashan (Huanghai University), Ximenwai, Beimenwai, Wangjiagang, Jiudingshan, Qiantangjiang Road (Youth Vocational College), Pashan (Binhai College), West Coast Campus of Qingdao University Affiliated Hospital, Gangtou, Xuejiabozi, Majialou, Zhumashan, Qingdao No. 9 Middle School (Happy Town), Heluobu (Sino-German Ecological Park), Shanwanghe (Fulai Community), Hengyunshan Road.

After the opening of the line, it will interchange with 2 stations of the existing Line 1 Wangjiagang and West Coast Express Xintun, and the number of transfer stations in the Qingdao Metro network will increase to 16, the number of operating stations will increase to 169, the number of operating lines will increase to 8, and the operating mileage will increase to 348 kilometers.

The first phase of Line 6 started construction in December 2019, and during the peak period of project construction, there were more than 5,000 on-site builders, and the project lasted more than 4 years to complete. As the first smart subway demonstration line built by Qingdao Metro, it deeply integrates artificial intelligence technology in the construction and operation stages. In particular, Qingdao Metro, together with CRRC Sifang Co., Ltd., CRRC Sifang Institute, Shanghai Fuxin and ZTE Gouda, developed the train fully autonomous operation system (TACS), so that the train has the "strongest brain". The train does not need to be commanded by ground signals, and can determine the time, speed and driving area to run according to the timetable, so as to achieve autonomous control and intelligent start and stop. At the same time, the line also uses many intelligent technologies such as smart stations and smart operation and maintenance systems, among which full-scene and full-function smart stations can timely detect equipment failures and emergencies through artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, visual recognition, maintenance robots and other technologies, realize the automatic control and intelligent management of operation business, make the station have a more "smart" "smart brain", and realize the upgrade from "manual operation" to "artificial intelligence" in operation service and management, which greatly improves the efficiency of operation and management.

The first phase of Line 6 connects the Lingshan Bay Film and Television Cultural Industry Zone, the Economic and Technological Development Zone, the Shandong Free Trade Zone (Qingdao Area), the Sino-German Ecological Park and other functional areas, which are the key areas of population concentration and industrial agglomeration on the West Coast, and the opening of the line will greatly strengthen the connection between these areas, comprehensively strengthen the rapid exchanges between the West Coast New Area and the east and north banks of Qingdao, and deepen the coordinated development of the regional economy. At the same time, as the third subway line of the West Coast New Area, the opening of the first phase of Line 6 will speed up the completion of the north-south traffic shortcomings of the West Coast New Area, and provide more convenient rail transit support for the construction of the national new area.
