In my opinion, these new machines of 2,000 yuan are quite boring, there are not many highlights in the configuration, the appearance and texture are just like that, and the price is not very fragrant, in a word, it is: sincerity, but not much.
The main reason why I say this is that they are awkwardly positioned.
You see, these new phones are equipped with either Snapdragon 8s Gen3 or Snapdragon 7+ Gen3, and the performance of these two chips is really good, but it is a bit reluctant for mobile phone manufacturers to call them "Snapdragon 8 Gen3".
Because their L3 cache has been slashed, limiting CPU performance, neither brother has been able to beat last year's Snapdragon 8 Gen2 in terms of game frame rate or energy efficiency.

However, some Snapdragon 8 Gen2 models can be supported through OTA, of course, this is not the reason for Qualcomm, but the 5G baseband and WiFi modules used by mobile phone manufacturers for these new machines, which are not very new.
Those models with Snapdragon 8s Gen3 use Qualcomm's X70 released two years ago, while the Snapdragon 7+ Gen3 uses Qualcomm X63, which can't support 5.5G on their own.
And they carry a WiFi module that was released four years ago with the FastConnect 6700, so there is no Wi-Fi 7, only Wi-Fi 6 and 6E.
In fact, whether it is Snapdragon 8s Gen3 or 7+ Gen3, they are compatible with FastConnect 7800 up to the highest level, and theoretically can support Wi-Fi 7, but the manufacturer does not want to give it or feels that it is not necessary.
So it's still the same sentence - you get what you pay for, chip support is one thing, but whether the mobile phone can be used is another thing, their positioning and price determine which functions can be implemented in the end.
Of course, there is no problem for mobile phone manufacturers to do this, after all, we can't ask me to have all the mobile phones that cost more than 2,000 yuan.
But the problem lies in the fact that the batch of Snapdragon 8Gen2 models released last year and the beginning of the year, that is, the sub-flagships of the original 3,000 yuan range, their prices have now dropped to the 2,000 price range.
If you look at the iQOO Neo9, OnePlus Ace3 and Redmi K70, these sub-flagships, the major platforms are subsidized by tens of billions, and they are not much more expensive than these mid-range machines, which makes these new machines very embarrassing.
Take the Redmi Turbo3 as an example, the 12GB+256GB version of this phone starts at 1999, but as long as you are willing to add more than 200 yuan, you can buy the Redmi K70 with the same storage specifications.
One is an all-plastic body, single-band GPS, and a 1.5K screen, and the other is a glass back with a metal bezel, dual-band GPS, and the screen is still a 2K screen, and it has a higher image configuration and faster charging speed.
Obviously, if it were me, I would definitely grit my teeth and add this budget, because the K70 almost completely beats the Turbo3, if you really want to say what advantages the Turbo 3 has, in addition to being thin and light, probably only AI can come up with it.
Since the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 was last year's flagship, it was not specifically optimized for AI, but Qualcomm did it for these two chips this year, which is why these phone manufacturers will focus on AI at the press conference.
The other two mid-range devices are pretty much the same, and if you're considering the OnePlus Ace 3V and the Realme GT Neo6 SE, you can get a more balanced and buckety OnePlus Ace 3 with a little extra money.
Let me put it this way, these new machines are not the new competitors released by other friends, but the sub-flagships that were originally positioned one level higher than them, but now the price is not much different from them.
