Born in 1993, after graduating from junior high school, Wang Dingjie dropped out of vocational school after only half a year, and published two novels with his love for literature. ""Grass Grows in the Concrete Field" has more than 100,000 words, and it is actually an autobiography. On April 25, Wang Dingjie said in an interview with Jimu News that although he only had a beginner level of Chinese, in 2015, he went to Peking University to work as a security guard by chance. Wang Dingjie, who has loved literature since he was a child, often borrowed his classmates' library cards and secretly sneaked to the library to study.
In 2018, Wang Dingjie published his first novel under the screen name "Che You Axle", and in 2021, he published his second novel "The Fog Under the House". Wang Dingjie, who had made a small gain in creation, began to ponder and wanted to "write something" for his deaf and mute parents in the countryside. After thinking about it a lot, he decided to use the camera in his hand to shoot a short drama to record the process of his parents' hard work in the countryside.

In the short play, Wang Dingjie introduced that his father Wang Nengwu is 66 years old this year, and he was deaf and dumb because of a high fever when he was a child. Due to his disability, he never went to school, but with his own efforts, Wang Nengwu learned carpentry. "The tables, chairs and benches at home are all made by my father. Wang Dingjie said that his father not only does carpentry work, but also paints and tiles and other jobs. His mother, Huang Taixiang, was also deaf and mute due to an illness when she was a child.
"It is impossible for a mother to be united with a father if she is not disabled. Wang Dingjie said that his grandfather worked in a grain store, and at that time, the grain store was a very popular unit. When it came to the age of marriage, because Huang Taixiang was deaf and mute, the matchmaker came to the door to say goodbye, and the introduction was either missing arms and legs, or very old, and finally selected and selected, and found that although Wang Nengwu was deaf and mute like himself, he had sound limbs and was a bright person, and he would learn anything, so he married him.
"My father has been very diligent since he was a child, and he has been very energetic when he grows up. Wang Dingjie said that after getting married, his father became more industrious, and with the birth of his sister and himself, the burden of the family's life was on Wang Nengwu.
One man builds a building
"My father had been preparing this three-story building for 30 years, and he built it all by himself. Wang Dingjie pointed to the house and said that their family lived in an adobe house, since his sister was born, his father went up the mountain to pick up some dead branches and sawed them into wooden planks, and went to the river to move some stones to pile them at the door.
By 2018, all the materials for building the house were ready, and Wang Nengwu began to build the house alone. "My mother was only responsible for cooking for my father, and occasionally she did the work. Wang Dingjie told the Jimu News reporter that on July 23 of that year, when his father was building a house, he accidentally sawed off his right thumb and index finger with a chainsaw, and the blood flowed all over the place, but his father did not plan to go to the hospital for treatment in order to save money, but simply bandaged it with a cloth without saying a word in pain and sat at home to rest.

"Fortunately, my cousin found out in time and picked up a life. Wang Dingjie said that because his mother was not at home at the time, his father was pale and in shock when he was found bleeding profusely, and after being rushed to the hospital, he underwent replantation surgery on the severed finger, and finally saved both fingers.

"My father was injured and hospitalized, and my grandfather was frightened and left that night. Wang Dingjie said that although his father could not hear or speak, he could feel that his grandfather's death had been a great blow to his father. Seeing the rickety figure of his elderly parents, Wang Dingjie decided to return to Hubei to find a job so that he could often go home to see his parents.

"After years of hard work, I slowly realized the difficulty of my parents. Wang Dingjie recalled that when he went out to work and left home for the first time, he was in a mood with his father. After graduating from junior high school, because he was not admitted to high school, Wang Dingjie spent half a semester in a vocational school in Yangxin. At that time, it was the rebellious period, and I wanted to go out to see the outside world, so I became tired of studying.
After a head-on conflict with his father, Wang Dingjie gave up his studies and wanted to go out to work to earn money. Seeing his son's thin body, Wang Nengwu squatted at the door and smoked silently.
"My father felt very sorry for my mother, and I took care of him all my life, and my mother basically didn't care much about anything at home. Wang Dingjie said that he at least remembered the scene when he left home: when he dragged his suitcase and prepared to go out for the first time, his father was planting rice in the field, watching his son gradually drift away, Wang Nengwu grabbed a handful of seedlings and stood firmly in the paddy field, silently watching his son leave home.

Finding that his father's temper had been restrained a lot, Wang Dingjie looked at his father's clumsy figure, and every time he recalled the scene when he left home, he always felt a burst of inexplicable heartache.
"After the new house was built, my parents' backs were hunched. Wang Dingjie said that there is a saying in China, "the son is not ugly to the mother, and the dog is not to be poor", although his parents are deaf and mute and cannot express it in words, but the love for the child is manifested in action, which makes him feel deep self-blame.
The new house has been built, and life is getting better than before, but Wang Dingjie's deaf and mute parents are still running around in the mountains in the countryside. In order to keep his parents, at the beginning of this year, Wang Dingjie returned to his hometown in Yangxin, accompanied his parents, and spent a month recording the daily busy footage of his parents with the camera in his hand.
