The owner should park the motor vehicle in a regular parking lot, and the spare car key should be kept at home or office, not in the car at will, so as not to give others a chance to take advantage of it. According to the relevant provisions of the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law", a person who steals another person's motor vehicle shall be fined not less than 500 yuan but not more than 1,000 yuan, and if the circumstances are serious, he shall be detained for not less than 10 days but not more than 15 days and shall also be fined not less than 500 yuan but not more than 1,000 yuan.
