Saint Kitts and Nevis (1983–present)

The national emblem of Saint Kitts and Nevis is a coat of arms, which is divided into two parts. The upper part has roses representing England, heads of Caribbeans and lilies representing France. The lower part is divided by a red ribbon in the shape of a mountain, and the upper left and right corners are painted with red flowers of phoenix wood, and the bottom part is a sailboat. There is a helmet on it, and two torch-carrying hands on the garland. The shield is guarded on both sides by pelicans holding sugar cane and coconut palms. The ribbon bears the national motto: "The state is above the individual".
