The three major stock indexes of the New York stock market were mixed on the 24th. By the end of the day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 42.77 points, or 0.11%, from the previous session at 38,460.92, the S&P 500 stock index was up 1.08 points, or 0.02%, at 5,071.63, and the Nasdaq Composite was up 16.11 points, or 0.10%, at 15,712.75.
