According to the news from the official WeChat public account of the Shaanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau "Cultural Relics Shaanxi", the "National Treasure Heavy Light - National Intangible Cultural Heritage Ancient Calligraphy and Painting Copying Skills Exhibition of the Palace Museum" jointly organized by the Xiyue Temple Museum and the Palace Museum will be launched on April 29 at the Xiyue Temple Museum. This exhibition is the first temporary exhibition held by the Palace Museum in Shaanxi Province and will be on view until June 29.
This exhibition will focus on more than 100 classic works from the Jin, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties collected by the Palace Museum, covering a variety of themes such as landscapes, flowers and birds, and figures. Each work in the exhibition is made by a famous artist, and strives to restore the charm and style of the original work. While experiencing the artistic charm of classic masterpieces, the audience can also understand the profound understanding of the aesthetics of classic calligraphy and painting and the unique interpretation of traditional painting techniques by famous artists of different eras.

In this exhibition, a facsimile of the calligraphy work "Boyuan Post" created by Wang Xun, a famous artist of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, will be exhibited. In addition, Zhang Xuan, a painter with the style of "curved eyebrows and plump cheeks" in the Tang Dynasty, made a famous work "The Lady of the Kingdom of Qiu", and Huang Gongwang, a famous painter at the head of the four Yuan families, created at the age of 81 "Nine Peaks and Snow Ji Map" and other famous masterpieces, will also be unveiled one by one. The title and preface of the exhibition were inscribed by Dong Zhenghe, a librarian of the Central Museum of Culture and History, a researcher at the Palace Museum, and a calligrapher. In order to enable the audience to have a deeper understanding of traditional skills, this exhibition also invited professionals to explain to the audience the process and specific links of calligraphy and painting copying, mounting and restoration.

2. You can take the high-speed rail to Huashan North Station, take the free bus to Yuemiao Antique Pedestrian Street Station, walk to Xiyue Temple, or take a taxi from the high-speed rail station to Xiyue Temple;
3. Self-driving can get off from the Huayin exit of Lianhuo Expressway, drive north for about 3 kilometers to the entrance of Yuemiao Antique Pedestrian Street, and arrive at Xiyue Temple.
