On the evening of April 18th and 20th, the acrobatic ballet "Swan Lake" created and rehearsed by the Xi'an Warrior Battle Flag Acrobatic Troupe successfully completed two performances at the Royal Opera House in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. During the two days, the theater, which can accommodate more than 1,000 spectators, was full of more than 150 applause and 7 curtain calls for each performance, allowing the Omani audience to appreciate the unique charm of Chinese acrobatic art.
This is the first time that the acrobatic ballet "Swan Lake" of the Xi'an Warrior Battle Flag Acrobatic Troupe has appeared on the stage of Oman, and in the two-hour performance, this "Silk Road" version of "Swan Lake" with oriental aesthetics interprets the Western classics with its unique fusion art language, showing the Omani audience the profound heritage of Chinese culture, so as to realize the artistic effect of "each with its own beauty, and the beauty of the same" of Eastern and Western cultures.
Accompanied by the classic music of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake", the beautiful and pure white swan in the play leisurely jumps on the prince's shoulder, stands on the prince's shoulder, and then becomes one-legged. After a few seconds of holding the breath of the audience, the White Swan turned 180 degrees to take on the classic ballet movement "Arabesk", and then jumped on top of the prince's head like a real swan, and then completed the lower waist kicking on top of the prince's head. This series of difficult technical skills completed on the shoulders and above the head is as smooth and elegant as flowing water, like a white swan pouring out his heart to the prince, and the audience could not hide their excitement, and the audience was boiling in an instant!
The actors focused on the soulful performance, layering the characters in the play with a variety of emotions such as firmness, tenderness, grief, and joy, and high-level acrobatic skills throughout the story, receiving bursts of applause and cheers from the audience.
This year marks the 46th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the Arab States, and the acrobatic ballet "Swan Lake" was invited to Oman, which is also a concrete embodiment of the recognition of domestic acrobatic art by overseas audiences.
