Showcase the charm of disciplines and educate future stars丨Yufeng Street Primary School will hold the first Chinese subject festival in 2024

In the picturesque April, in order to stimulate students' interest in Chinese learning, improve core literacy, prosper campus culture, cultivate students' language literacy and humanistic spirit in practice, and promote the implementation of the "five educations" simultaneously, from April 10 to 23, 2024, Yufeng Street Primary School in Chuanshan District held a Chinese subject festival with the theme of "Exhibiting the Charm of Disciplines and Cultivating Future Stars".

·1st Grade·

The first grade started a feast of classic poems. Through the joint efforts of teachers and students, the five classes made classic poems with music and movements, presented in rich forms such as recitation, chanting, and situational performances, which were either impassioned, gentle and graceful, or long-lasting. The heart-touching recitation of ancient poems, the recitation full of emotion, and the emotional scene performances all the time affect the hearts of every child.

·2nd Grade·

The second-grade children carried out the activity of telling fables and idioms, and the students performed "small stories" in a variety of forms to explain the "big truth". After intense class competition, the children took to the stage with wonderful programs to show the classic stories in the eyes of the children.

·3rd Grade·

The Year 3 children expressed their love for reading and their fascination with fairy tales in the way of "painting fairy tales with wonderful brushes". Through a series of activities such as reading fairy tales, tasting fairy tales, and painting fairy tales, the exquisite hand-copied newspapers express the children's love for fairy tales, and the works with heart and affection allow children to enter fairy tales and have a dialogue with the protagonists of fairy tales in time and space.

·4th Grade·

A poetry recitation contest was held in the fourth grade. The atmosphere of the competition was warm, and the students showed their best state, interpreting the charm of poetry with beautiful voices and sincere emotions. Some students recited their own poems affectionately, and some students recited famous poems impassionedly, and each contestant showed strong literary literacy and language expression skills, which won the applause of the audience.

·5th Grade·

In the fifth grade, a poetry contest for primary school students was launched. The competition is divided into three levels: compulsory answers, rush answers, and flying flowers. The students answered carefully, thought carefully, and made witty remarks. This contest has enhanced students' interest and hobby in traditional Chinese poetry, cultivated students' teamwork spirit and sense of fair competition, and improved their overall Chinese quality.

·6th Grade·

"It doesn't matter if you cut off your head, as long as it's true. "If you don't go to the Great Wall, you are not a hero, and you can only travel 20,000 yuan." The sixth-grade students carried out the project-based study of "The Process of Struggle - Making a Collection of Red Poems", making a "Collection of Red Poems" and reciting majestic poems. Through this collection of red poems, I learned about the revolutionary process of the party, and felt the noble realm and family and country feelings in the red poems, so as to establish the noble sentiment of studying hard, being willing to contribute, and having the courage to take responsibility!

In the Chinese Discipline Festival, the students witnessed their growth and gained knowledge and joy together. Our school will continue to innovate the content and methods of activities, so that campus activities can truly become a "gas station" for students and help students develop in an all-round way.
