On the morning of April 23, the Propaganda Department of the Shifang Municipal Party Committee (Press and Publication Bureau), Shifang Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Shifang Municipal Bureau of Education and Sports, and Shifang Municipal Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, hosted by Shifang Municipal Library and Shifang Financial Media Center, the 2024 "Reading and Seeing Fanghua" national reading series activities were divided into three chapters: "Bringing the Fragrance of Books", "Reading Spring" and "Going to the Future", which were held in Shifang Experimental Foreign Chinese School.
The purpose of this event is to stimulate the momentum of national reading promotion and fill Shifang with the fragrance of books. At the launching ceremony, the Shifang Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism released the 2024 National Reading Series theme activities to the people of the city, and awarded the three newly added member units of the "Reading Ten Directions". The Shifang Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference donated more than 160 copies of "Shifang Literature and History" to the city's public libraries and primary and secondary school libraries, and the Shifang Municipal Customs Working Committee donated "Analects" books to Shifang Experimental Foreign Chinese School, hoping that the children will continue to move forward on the road of reading.
It is reported that in recent years, Shifang has held a variety of reading activities. The city, town and village book positions have been standardized, the construction of national reading positions has been gradually improved, and the reading environment has been significantly optimized. A number of high-level "guide readers" such as Mr. Guo Huitu and Mr. Li Li and a number of popular "reading clubs" such as the Hummingbird Reading Club, the Jade Bird Reading Club, and the Salary Academy have emerged, gradually realizing the gorgeous transformation from in-depth promotion of national reading to deepening national reading activities.
At present, Shifang is creating a national civilized city, hoping to use this activity to form a reading force in the whole city, through the "joint use of venues, joint activities, joint training, platform construction" and other ways, to create more high-quality reading space, to carry out more abundant reading activities, so that the whole people can read in the land of Zhangluo to set off a civilized breeze and radiate wisdom.
