"I've been looking forward to it for a long time, today I came to see Mr. Wang Yi's collection of Zhang Daqian!" On April 23, the day of World Book Day, the Wenweng Road Museum of Chengdu Library ushered in a brand-new "museum within a museum", and the "Wang Yi Donation Zhang Daqian Archive" was officially opened to the public, and citizen Li Yong came to check in and visit.
Coming to the Wenweng Road Hall of Chengdu Library, walking a few steps to the right, the words "Wang Yi donated Zhang Daqian Archives" came into view, and when you walked into the museum, the prologue "Zhang Daqian came out of Neijiang", the chapter "Approaching Zhang Daqian" (including "Hundred Years of Dafeng Hall" and "Zhang Daqian and Chengdu"), "Zhang Daqian: I and Dunhuang" (including the "Renaissance" led by Chengdu), "The World Zhang Daqian has walked", "Wang Yi: I and Dafengtang" and other four units are presented in turn.
According to reports, the Zhang Daqian Archives displays all the collections of Wang Yi's research on Zhang Daqian (Dafengtang) in the past 34 years, including more than 180 paintings and calligraphy works of Zhang Daqian's research scholars and disciples of Dafengtang, 281 letters and about 600 letters with Mr. Wang Yi, about 500 pages of Wang Yi's research on Zhang Daqian (Dafengtang) manuscripts, and nearly 10,000 pieces of other literature and research results such as Daqian paper and pencil and philatelic products. The Archives integrates the functions of a library, an art gallery and a museum, and has a space display that integrates collection, reading, research and exhibition, which expands the high-quality development of library public services and helps readers to have an immersive experience here.
"Sitting here you can also flip through the materials, the library is more thoughtful, and the timeline about Zhang Daqian is also presented on the wall, how convenient it is. Li Yong said that a person who donates his own research to the public can see that this kind of spirit is really rare and admires such researchers. It is reported that the donor Wang Yi is the first director of the Zhang Daqian Memorial Hall in Neijiang City, and has been committed to the research of Zhang Daqian (Dafeng Hall) for 34 years.
It is understood that on the basis of retaining its original functions, the Wenweng Road Branch of Chengdu Library has also added a number of "Tianfu Famous Libraries" in recent years, realizing the transformation from a private library to a "library within a library", from personal research and use to public reading. Previously, the Chengdu Library accepted more than 6,000 books donated by Yuan Tingdong, a scholar of Bashu culture, and established the "Yuan Tingdong Cultural Library"; Today, the establishment of "Wang Yi's Donation to Zhang Daqian Archives" has further enriched the connotation and extension of the Tianfu Famous Library of Chengdu Library.
According to the relevant person in charge of Chengdu Library, it is hoped that more donors will be willing to donate wisps of books and share their "treasures", from "solo music" to "public music", to help Chengdu Library build a "Chengdu Documentation Center", form a resource-rich and fully open characteristic collection, and play an important role in Chengdu's construction of a world cultural city and a scholarly Chengdu.
