Alexandre Benjamin Navet is the winner of the Grand Prix Design Parade Toulon in 2017. Combining art, illustration, design and architecture, his works create a striking corner of the space in a vibrant and fresh palette that immerses the viewer as if they were there. Since graduating from the École nationale supérieure de création industrielle in 2011, he has been putting his knowledge to good use in his work, combining brilliant colors with irregular geometric collages, and using perspective techniques in architecture and industrial design. The young and talented artist is adept at employing different techniques, painting with his favorite oil crayons, colored pencils and Japanese watercolors.
Step into the poetic "Van Cleef & Arpels Spring Garden" pop-up experience space and meet Alexandre Benjamin Navet's creative world, where natural lines and vivid colors are intertwined to bring the delicate foliage to life. Flowers of different shapes are either budding or springing, attracting butterflies to dance, and they also complement the Maison's flower-themed creations, blooming with agility and brilliance. The endless vitality of nature dances in the flowers, and the garden is full of fragrant flowers and refreshing people's hearts. The decorative elements created by the artist also vividly decorate this red-dripping green world, adding to its moving charm.
Since its founding in 1906, Van Cleef & Arpels has been inspired by the colours and colours of nature. Launched in 2003, the Frivole collection continues the timeless heart-shaped petals of the 1940s, combining mirror polishing and openwork techniques, as well as the exceptional selection of diamonds, to create a delicate flower that has been refined over the years to express eternal harmony in the Maison's poetic gardens. This year, the Frivole collection also celebrates five new creations, including a 7-flower bracelet in white gold with nearly 300 diamonds, an 8-flower ring in pink and white gold, a rose gold Between the Finger ring in pink gold, as well as a pendant and matching earrings in a new size, adding a touch of spring to the Maison's garden.
In addition, the pop-up space will feature some of the museum's collections, inviting visitors to appreciate the Maison's deep attachment to and interpretation of the flora and fauna. The Camélia jewellery set delicately outlines each petal and leaf in yellow gold, with the white petals spiraling to the asymmetrical arrangement of leaves next to the flower. The Camélia jewellery set is a unique design that captures the beauty of nature. The finely polished white mother-of-pearl Jeannot brooch evokes the soft fur of the white rabbit, and the diamond floral motif on the rabbit's tail dates back to the 1920s.
