In April, we will explore the beauty of white tea making skills. On April 20, 2024, the Xiapu County Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Xiapu Xinhua Bookstore Branch jointly launched the "Cultural Tourism Xiapu Happy Intangible Cultural Heritage Xinhua Research Outdoor Parent-Child Activity".
On the morning of April 20, the parents and children who signed up for the participation went to the Natural Peak Tea Garden to complete the graffiti sign-in and start the journey of outdoor tea picking and tea tasting.
The children took the small bamboo baskets, and under the leadership of the staff, happily went to the wilderness tea mountain, shuttled through the tea forest, leaned over to pick tea, and became a "little intangible cultural heritage experiencer" to experience the fun and hard work of tea picking. And selected the "Tea Picking King" and "Tea Picking Girl" two outstanding small tea farmers.

Under the patient guidance of Mr. Liu Kaiyun, the intangible inheritor of white tea making skills, the children experienced the links from spreading green, finishing to rolling and drying, and visited the tea culture exhibition hall and tea-making factory, learned about the tea-making process, understood the relevant knowledge and process of tea-making, and realized that one tea and one leaf are not easy to come by.
During the lunch break, each group of families happily had a picnic and parent-child reading, where parents and children immersed themselves in the world of stories and experienced the fun of reading together, so that children could share their reading experience while meeting more like-minded friends and enhancing their friendship with each other.
At the end of the reading, the staff of the bookstore led the parents and children to play games, creating a friendly atmosphere.
This research activity is not only deeply loved by parents and children, but also leads them into the world of intangible cultural heritage, experiencing the unique charm of white tea making skills up close, and gaining a deeper understanding of the historical origin and cultural connotation of white tea.
